A Virtual Facade:Catfish Documentary

In the documentary Catfish, the film focuses on a New York photographer named Nev who creates a bond with an 8-year old precocious painter named Abbey over the internet. The little girl would create paintings of the photographs that he would take, and sent them to Nev. Over time, he would become close with the family, especially the older sister, Megan. As they continued to interact with one another, Nev begins to notice some inconsistencies about the woman he has been talking to and begins to doubt whether or not if Megan is who she seems. He even contacts Megan via a cellphone in order to find more lies and discover more about what she is hiding in the process. He eventually figures out that the person he has been talking to this entire time was the mother, Angela Wesselman. Feeling heartbroken and betrayed, Nev, along with his brother and friend (Ariel Schulman and Henry Joost) set out to find and confront Angela. Once they arrive, they get to meet Angela in person and get to take a look into her life and struggles. After she is caught in her own lie, she apologizes about all of the pain that she has caused Nev and they share a painfully awkward (and a bit weird) moment together. As the video concludes, it is shown that the duration of Nev and Angela's "relationship" lasted about nine months and they have exchanged over 1,500 messages. It's also shown that there are a few things that she has said to Nev during his visit were also lies ( ...specifically her cancer).

This documentary was quite a peculiar one. It's not every day that your "true love" turns out to be some 40-something-year-old lady who's married with kids and a husband. It amazes me how far someone was willing to go to make a lie convincing no matter what the future consequences may bear. Given her circumstances, I'm sure that Angela just wanted an escape or to just have some kind of excitement in her life. I can understand that, but what she did really did affect someone. It doesn't help that constantly lied throughout his visit either. She just wanted to be pitied so that she wouldn't seem so much like a bad person. I personally don't think she is cruel despite her actions, but her lying was really annoying me. I wish she would just give up, but then again, what if she is slowly believing some of the things that she spews? She should just learn how to be true to herself, and stop being in bad faith. There is also a lesson we should all learn from this too. Be careful who we interact with online and watch out for catfish!

Behind the Pictures

I had watched the Catfish documentary a few years ago, so when we watched it in class I got to watch it though a different lens. I remembered the general outcome of the documentary—although I had forgotten a lot of the details. One major detail that I had forgotten is how much Angela lied. I guess for someone to create a total facade, along with made up friends and family members, they have to be pretty good at lying. I mean to a certain extent, I feel like everyone lies—especially online. Our class discussion got me thinking about the various social media platforms like Instagram, Twitter and Snapchat. I thought about who I follow and what they post. I also thought about what I post, and whether or not I was putting the most genuine form of myself out there. I’d like to think that I try to, but I just don’t think that it’s the case.

I like to think of social media platforms as a fun way to express myself. When I post a picture it is an expression of myself, a variant of my mood at that specific time. Do I cry sometimes? Of course I do. I’m only human. But am I going to post a video of me crying on Instagram? No. Am I going to post what I look like as soon as I roll out of bed in the morning? For everyones sake, no. These are attributes of myself that make me who I am, and I guess by not sharing them—who you see on my social media isn't really my true self. Think of so called “Instagram models” for example. And for those that don’t know what they are, it’s pretty people that get paid to post pictures on Instagram. These people have if made, right? False. All the public sees is a pretty face smiling and doing fun things, going all over the world and stopping to take the perfect Instagram picture. So many young girls, and boys, see these pictures of women and men on social media and embed this picture in their mind of what will make them happy. When truly, we don’t know what really goes on in the lives of the people behind the pictures. So to an extent, I feel like everyone is being catfished.

Obviously, not in the way that Nev and Angela’s story played out. One question that was raised in class discussion was whether or not there was sympathy for Angela. I did, and even now still do feel sympathetic towards her. The situation she is in is tough, but putting that aside, I still feel sad for her. She is obviously unhappy with who she is. She created a whole fantasy world in which she was this beautiful woman. Was it wrong do reach out to Nev and get him involved in it? Yes. She broke his heart and I obviously feel sympathetic for Nev as well. But at the end of the day, Angela is still in her body, in that house with her husband and his two handicapped children. I believe she did this to escape and feel some sort of happiness. I believe it was wrong that she decided to keep lying after she was caught, but I don’t think she was ready for her fantasy to end.

Catfish Schmatfish.... Angela is Crazy

In the documentary, Catfish, the main character, Nev, tries to uncover the secret behind his online girlfriend, Megan. They were together for about 9 months, but his brother started to have suspicions about who she really was. Together, they went to the middle-of-nowhere Michigan to try to uncover the secrets behind “Megan’s” identity. When they arrived, pieces of the story started to unfold. It turns out that “Megan” was really a middle aged woman named Angela, who was married to a dumb man with two handicapped sons from a previous marriage, and a ten year old daughter, Abby, that the two had together. Angela was a sub-par artist that she lied about to Nev, saying that the paintings were all done by Abby, “Megan’s” younger sister. It was obvious that Angela was just trying to escape the challenges in her life by creating this elaborate web of a fake life and talking to Nev. Even after she was found to be lying about everything, she continued to lie about the circumstances that she was in. She said that she had ovarian cancer and had just begun Chemotherapy, trying to gain even more sympathy, and even said that Megan was her daughter that had been in a mental institution for the past few months. It turned out later that the cancer was also a lie, and she didn’t have a daughter named Megan at all.
Her way of catfishing was very complex, and the audience could see how much time and effort Angela put into creating her story. She made up “Megan’s” Facebook profile, using pictures of a random girl that she found on the internet (although she told Nev that the pictures were those of an old family friend……but that’s none of my business) to create her story. She also created many more profiles of fake friends, family members, etc. to make Megan seem more believable. Honestly I think that Angela was a pathological liar, and kind of insane. The way that she manipulated Nev into believing her story was so crazy and thought out, she obviously had a lot of time on her hands.

I’ve been catfished before and that whole experience was crazy too, although not as crazy as Angela and Nev’s. I can definitely sympathize for him in that way. However, I don’t feel bad for Angela at all. Someone needs to just unplug her wifi router and make her sit and think about what she has done.

Summary and Opinion

Notes that I took for the film

Nev is basically the main character in the documentary, Catfish, along with Henry and Rel. Nev began to get paintings from a girl name Abby, who paints randomly and supposedly owns a building in Michigan that auctions her pictures. Nev began to communicate with Angela, Abby's mom, about Abby's painting. Shortly after being introduced to Megan, Abby's sister, Nev started to show interest in her. The two have been communicating every day on social media and on the phone. The two potentially started to date. As the two began to date, Megan sent Nev songs that are supposedly for him and sung by her. After a while, Nev soon discovered that the songs are written by other artists or they're covers from other artists. None of the songs belonged to Megan. As soon as Nev found out, he started questioning if Abby and Megan are real.

When the thought ran through Nev's mind, he began researching the building that held Abby's paintings for auctioning. It turns out that the building been listed for about 4 years. As the lies keep growing, Nev and his crew decided to take a trip to Michigan. After arriving in Michigan and visiting the barn house that Megan supposedly lives, they discovered that the house was empty, the letters he sent was still in the mailbox, and Megan obviously didn't live there.

After a period of time, Nev and his crew found the real address to the house and ends up meeting Angela. Angela looks nothing like the painting Abby painted of her. Soon as Angela introduces Nev to Abby, he also discovered that Abby knows nothing about painting. As the picture starts to come together, they realized that Megan in Angela. They also discovered that the person who painted all the pictures was also Angela.

After all that Angela has done, Nev still decided to stay in contact with Angela through Facebook.

My Opinion on Catfish

After the documentary, my professor asked a lot of questions about the film, Catfish. One question that rose was up struck a huge discussion. The question was, "Do you feel sympathetic for Angela?" At first, I felt sympathetic because she lived in her own little fantasy hoping to find love, even though she a had a whole husband. She also had a stressful life dealing with two disabled step-children and a child, with one of them passing away. Who could balance her daily work schedule? Her painting pictures must've been a better way of relieving stress. That's probably why she was in the situation she was in now (catfishing Nev).

However, there are better ways to handle stress. She could've taken a yoga class or a meditation class to relieve some stress. Playing with someone emotions is never okay at any circumstances no matter what the situation may be. I was surprised that Nev continued being friends with her on social media. Wouldn't she just continue lying to him? The more she lied, the more I thought she was crazy. As our professor stated, after the documentary, many people interviewed her. Angela was still lying to interviewers about her illness. After lying to the interviewers, I was convince that she had to have psychological issues.

Nev continued to keep calm during the situation, which I admired. If I was in the situation he was in, I wouldn't have handled it appropriate. Another thing I admired is Nev not being overly dramatic about being catfish. He didn't take all his anger out on her instead, he confronted her in person and take about her actions, which lead to some emotions. Personally, I wouldn't drive all the way to another state, but I would confront them on social media, which lead me to thinking why didn't Nev just convinced her over the internet and call it a day. I assumed that he confronted her in person because it got her to think over her actions and the consequences that could've came along with it.

For me being a catfish, I would've never look back on my actions because I was on social media and thought I could get away with it. In my opinion, I was doing the morally right thing in my situation. To my dismay, as I grow older, I realize that my actions was morally wrong and childish. No one deserves to be catfish no matter what the circumstances may be. Till this day, I have yet to catfish anyone.

Nev: The Personification of Loyalty

I've (hopefully) never been Catfished before, but I can say that based on what I have seen from this documentary and various episodes of the Catfish TV show, that it takes some SERIOUS dedication to Catfish someone. What I mean by this is that it is a seemingly never-ending series of lies: before you take something back, you have to add more to the story (habitual lying). This is exactly what Angela Wesselman set out to do: she created 15 (I think) fake profiles on Facebook to make it seem like she had people that socialized with her, which deceived Nev. She found pictures of a supermodel by the name of Aimee Gonzales and used these pics to trick Nev into thinking that Aimee was a girl named "Megan Faccio." I watched a video that was made later on which featured Nev and Aimee: Nev had told Aimee the whole story about how her pictures were used by Angela to create the "Megan" profile. Nev and "Megan" had been carrying on a relationship for months via text messages and phone calls. Some of the messages that "Megan" sent to Nev were quite disturbing: Angela really made Nev fall in love with someone who didn't even exist.

Because Nev had so much sympathy for Angela and her situation (having sons with disabilities), he remained loyal to Angela even after it was revealed that she was the person behind "Megan Faccio" all along. Nev, in my opinion, is a very nice guy who didn't deserve to be deceived in the way that he did. The more lies that Angela kept telling Nev, the less sympathetic I felt for her. While she was in an unfortunate situation, what she did was still WRONG. She could've tried other solutions to relieve the stress that she was carrying: creating the Megan Faccio fake profile with a picture of a girl she didn't even know to trick Nev into liking Megan, then revealing that she was the one behind it is very sickening. To add on, she is MARRIED! Her husband is also a victim of this. I feel more sympathy for Nev than I do for Angela because he went to great lengths to find Megan and Abby, Angela's 8 year old daughter who Nev thought was an amazing painter (Abby was confused when he mentioned the paintings to her, the paintings were actually Angela's). He traveled hundreds of miles to addresses that Angela kept giving him, in hopes to find out more about "Megan," only to find himself wrapped up in a bunch of lies.

Catfishing is only fun when it's with fish

The movie Catfish is a documentary about the experience of being catfished. Nev Schulman is the focus of this movie and his brother, Ariel Schulman, is the reason behind it. The movie follows Nev's relationship with a family that lives in Ishpeming, Michigan, whose daughter Abby sends him paintings that she made. Eventually Nev is introduced to Megan, Abby's fictional older sister played by her mother Angela. Nev and Megan eventually form a relationship together, and this is where the catfishing comes in.

First of all, I don't know why Angela would go through with something as crazy as she did. She ran several different accounts just to support Megan's existence. The amount of time she must have had to dedicate just to keeping up this lie is staggering. This had to have been hours of her life, spent selling something to herself and another that wasn't true. Not to mention she has two disabled children that she needs to take care of, what about them? How many responsibilities did she have to ditch just to keep this up? Of course, I see why she'd want to ditch her responsibilities, taking care of three kids is difficult without having two of them mentally deficient. This doesn't fully excuse her actions, but at least she wasn't doing this solely out of malice.

An act of this magnitude has to be stressful on the family. As I said, just how many responsibilities was she dropping just to talk to Nev on the phone? I really don't like how she wrapped her daughter up in it also. She really didn't have too. I'm positive the only reason she did is because she wanted a scapegoat to get her artwork praised through. That's about the only reason I can think of for her to lie about her daughter's abilities by making them up entirely.

All her stories came back to haunt her when Nev showed up at her house. When he arrived I was honestly hoping for more of a show. The only really dramatic part of this whole movie was when Nev very gently let her know that he knew she had been lying. I had been hoping for more of an explosive ending, it'd have made watching that hour and thirty minute tease worth it. Really, they drove all the way up to Michigan, the state on the bottom of the vacation list, just to softly get on to her? Why even bother.

A Broken Mask

A Broken Mask
It’s crazy, isn’t it? In this life, you have so many choices and the one that stands out is to have fun. And fun can be your definition or somebody else’s definition but in all, we know what fun is. The way to distract yourself from the present and have a little joy with the time wasting. Fun for a normal person could be hanging out with people, Fun for a sadistic person would be those moments in seeing the pain in other people’s or fun for a lonely person would be the isolation from society and believing that they are the only intelligent being that is cursed because they are surrounded by idiots. Yet Fun is fun. Now this person [*I think it’s Angela (Megan)] in Catfish has her own way of having fun.
Let’s analyze the motives of her actions. She made an entire life, no… she has made an entire world out of other people’s pictures and this ensnared Neive. From this, we concluded that she isn’t the only one. People like that create a new person so they can roam freely around this virtual world. It’s not something to be surprised because everyone has the power to do it at any time. We just choose not to because we don’t see the benefits that could come from doing such. I bet that she did this from just boredom since her life is more like a cage than a house. Her boys are a little special and from the video, we noticed that she is the only that pays attention to them because we can see that the husband is oblivious to a lot of things.
The World is strange and it’s not simple. We come to live in it and die, but whatever you do in between is your choice because you decide how to live life. I hate to think that way, we live to die but what can you do? You can’t do anything about death and if you could then why? I get these moments because I really like to ponder deep within thoughts. The class discussion that we have are a lot more interesting than my other classes because I get to reflect on the possible ways I can think of life now. And now with the topic of catfish. I begin to see that we are all trying to do something like it.
What I got out of the discussion is that we try to portray ourselves in a way that people would accept us while they do the same thing. After a while, you start to show the real colors that makeup who you are. Like slowly taking that mask off. Yes, I used to think that we all wear masks because we know that people would be judging us from where we stand on some matters. I don’t like to say this but I every day that I wake up; I like to watch people, it’s more entertaining than the zoo and less dangerous too. I would like to understand what’s going on with people because I see everything in fairness, especially eye for an eye.
Pay attention. I have been so nice with people in the beginning because that’s how you’re supposed to act. So, I act accordingly, and I have found some friends that are excellent people to study. I got attached to them so I would not dare put them in jeopardy or try to hurt them in any way psychological. I try to see a lot of their behaviors because all of them are not actually who they are. When I get on a one on one conversation with them, I get to see them from another point of view. I could be what you call a manipulator, but I don’t do it often anymore since there’s nothing to gain from them other than information.
This is like the doings of our little small catfish girl. She likes to talk to Nev and accidentally made him fall a little in love. She didn’t know how to stop the coming motion and decided to play along to an extent because in the back of her mind she knew that it’s impossible for Nev to come visit since he lived in New York. I sympathize on the grounds of curiosity, but I will not empathize on how far she went. This woman knows doings, especially since she’s been doing this over and over with other people. I find her a little more of a liar than a trustworthy person because of the other lies such as leukemia and the art gallery, then the onslaught of trying to keep all lies together so he wouldn’t find out.
I don’t like catfishes. These people who steal memories and use another name have more of a twisted motive. These people are bored. These people like to lead people on and make them suffer from afar. And these people don’t know how to make it stop, so I beg someone to tell me if they can find a positive motive to catfish someone. But I don't hate them. I just everyone to use something else rather than someone else.

The Real Megan

It is scary to think that catfishing is real. You could be a victim of being catfish or being the person to catfish someone else. However, it seems like it has become a normal thing now since people know about it and are not really doing anything against it. People now seem to want to get caught being catfished. I remember that when I first started using social media like Facebook, my mom would tell me to not accept people who I didn’t know and just accept the ones that I did. I see why she said those things to me, and it is because you don’t know who is behind a computer. You don’t really know who are talking to.
To me, since the beginning, it was a little sketchy to see that this little girl saw this picture on the newspaper and decided to draw it. I mean it is possible, but kids in this generation do not actually pick up a newspaper and look at it. When Nev first spoke to Abby, Angela’s daughter, you could clearly see that Abby didn’t want to talk to Nev by the tone of her voice. I feel like if you are talking to someone you really admire, then you would be more excited to talk to that person. “Abby” was apparently a fan of Nev’s work if she continued to draw pictures that Nev send her, but she didn’t sound excited to talk to Nev at all.  Also, when Nev, his brother, and friend got to “Megan’s” house, and met Angela, she was a little too touchy. She kept hugging Nev like she couldn’t believe he was there. It seems like she didn’t want to let him go. I should have noticed in that moment that she was Megan.
I felt bad for Angela when we saw how her life was. She didn’t look so happy about the life that she had. Maybe that’s why she decided to create this whole new person online. She said that she gave up on her dream of being a dancer and decided to take care of her husband’s children, who were sick and needed a lot of attention. However, my sympathy for Angela was gone when she involved her little girl into her lie. One thing is for you to lie to someone and another is bringing your own kids into your lie and making them also lie.  Another thing that got to me was when she lied about having cancer. You do not lie about having this terrible disease just to get sympathy from someone. That’s just a no.
However, I am amazed in how Angela made so many different profiles for different people just to make her show real. Also buying multiple phones just to talk to that Nev but as a different people. I think that was a little overboard. Additionally, I am amazed how calm Nev reacted when he went to the house and met Angela. He was so nice to her, who did not deserve that reaction at all. Angela had been lying to Nev for like eight months and making Nev fall in love with this “Megan”. If that was me in his shoes, I would have been pissed and wouldn’t be as nice as Nev was.
I wonderful how she expected everything to end? Did she really expect for Nev to not go and look for her? Would she eventually tell the true? How far was she willing to go?

Catfishing: Angela's Art

In this episode of catfish, nev starts his journey of documenting people who are not who they claim to be online and decide to intertwine real people in their web of lies and deception. This first person who is documented for being victim of catfishing is Nev himself. He start fr doing another documentary about an 8 year old girl and her advanced arts of work. Then later develops a relationship with her older sister. After finding a series of falsified information, Meg decided to finally go meet the woman he had developed a relationship with for about 8 months in person. He confronts the mother who he has spoken to and the little 8 year old girl but not the woman he has been in a relationship with. In a disturbing twist, the mother, Angela, is the woman Nev has been speaking to all of this time. Even the relationship he build with the little girl with complimenting her art work was built on a lie. The little girl did not paint the paintings that Nev was so fascinated by. Those paintings were Angela’s. Angela plays out this sad story of how her life isn’t what she wanted so she wanted her escape. For every person on her social media page that commented on her stuff (posing as Meagan), it was really just her on another page. She had a total of 15 different accounts along with Meagan to make her lies even more convincing. Angela told Nev that each profile that she created was a piece of her that she could truly express due to her circumstances being taking care of 2 handicapped step-sons. Angela was not able to excel in her futures plans is being an artist, photographer, or a dancer because she ended up becoming a stay at home mom of 3 children, not including the older daughter that is not around. This should not be made a sad situation because she determined her own circumstances. She didn’t have to take own the task of taking care of another man’s kids. She didn’t have to have another child with her husband. She didn’t have to become a stay at home mom who didn’t pursue her dreams. Do you feel bad for this woman? I think that people will generally say that they feel bad for how her life turned out but not for what she did. If you think deeper, she wasn’t forced to take care of anyone but, Angela did choose to waste someone’s time and feelings and also invade and exploit the privacy of people she did not know.

Catfishing today

The documentary Catfish explores the previously unknown phenomenon of posing as a different person online in order to interact with someone else. Before this documentary many people would not have thought to verify the actual existence of a newly met online contact or friend. The story begins with a New York City man, Nev Schulman, lured into an internet relationship with a 19-year old woman from the Midwest, or at least that is what he thought. Inconsistencies in her story begin to arise and Nev became suspicious. He and a friend who was filmmaker set up a meeting with this young woman and discovered she was a 40-year-old housewife who had fabricated the story.
Why do the perpetrators of catfishing do it? Maybe it is the need for human connection, everyone’s need to be liked or loved. They may believe they are not worthy or desirable. With the increase of social media it has become easier to invent a persona they feel others would find worthy. Just download a picture of a beautiful person and make up an interesting profile. You can have the instant dream life, at least for awhile.
There are people that will go through much work for their deceptive activities. I believe most people that continue catfishing are in it for some sort of reward--attention, love or money. Setting up multiple Facebook accounts with precautions against discovery allow for potential scam artist to trick people into revealing information or sending money to “help”. Social engineering is a big part of what catfishing has evolved into. Fake accounts on a wide variety of social networks can have an influence.
However as more and more stories come to light from victims and predators as well, the public now is becoming more aware, and people are becoming cautious about stories they see on the internet. The recent news stories about Facebook and Cambridge Analytica have made the general population increasingly concerned to protect their personal information.
Of course most people, me included, still do not immediately assume that every new contact met online is a hoax, an attempt to catfish, or other scam. However, the tactics employed by Angela, the predator is this documentary, would be much less effective today. For instance a simple reverse image search would produce what are to be original photographs used to create Facebook pages. Suspicion must be aroused in the intended target before they would check out the information. Nev in the story seems to be a very kind and trusting person. I would wager that he digs into every new friend he makes after this incident. So should we all.

Catfish, doesn't give you a pass in my books

I don't know if anyone else thought the same as me, but I personally thought that the documentary felt staged and or forced? I mean I see the point of it--you can't trust what's behind the screen if you can't see it, people can copy bios and save images, be wary etc etc etc, it's the talk we were all given, it's the talk we are continuously given, it's the talk that is always given, so what's new? Maybe if I had watched the documentary in the same year it came out, I would feel differently, but it feels forced. As the documentary progressed, I didn't find myself becoming invested, I just found myself with the same set of questions in mind. Why didn't he google Abby from the very moment he received the first box? I mean they said she was basically a prodigious art child that was selling paintings (some at thousands), and hosting galleries at a really young age and he didn't google her? She was like between 8-10 years old and living the successful artist dream supposedly, and that was not enough to pique his interest and lead to him searching her up? If she was real, there would be at least a handful of articles on her? Maybe this is just my way of thinking because I was raised actually knowing to be wary of what I see either in real life or online, but I personally would have looked into the person that suddenly started sending me free art, especially if she was so successful. Moreover, Abby's supposed family members all suddenly decide to add him on Facebook? As Edna says, coincidence? I think not. Isn't one of the rules to actual close online friendships that you at one point skype or facetime? I know that's kind of an idea for before you meet someone from online, but doesn't it also apply to serious online friendships? Like besides talking on the phone, face to face even via digital screen is an idea if you want to know if someone is real? But asides my questioning of the documentary realness, even though Niev was ‘catfished,’ I don’t think what he did-filming Angela, exposing her in film without asking her before he actually started filming, and the whole ‘speak to me as if you were Megan’ was right either. I get it, he was ‘hurt,’ he was caught in some complicated web of lies, he was technically manipulated, but that doesn’t give him the excuse to do what he did? Just because someone did something to you, doesn't necessarily mean you have a pass to return the favor? This is just my personal opinion, but I don't think what he did to Angela was right.

I Smell Something Fishy Going On Here

                                               Catfish

Everyone should be happy with how God made them. Every flaw that we 'think' we have is beautiful to him. He created us just how he WANTED us to be I understand that we might not like it. There's a lot of things that I need to improve on myself , but stealing another person's identity isn't the way to go. The movie 'Catfish' was actually quite disturbing. Nev is a photographer who shares a office with his brother, a director, and another male. Nev is receiving paintings of his photography from a little girl named Abby. She is 8 years old , and quite talented. The paintings look very professional, and almost exactly like the photographs. It makes you feel really bad about yourself. That little girl could be the next Leonardo Da Vinci if she wanted too. I can draw stick figures, and my shapes are still very crooked. Nev receives the paintings back to back. Its like he's forming a long distance relationship with a minor girl. His brother decided to film this experience. I thought that was pretty weird at first. However, the paintings never failed to impress me. The mom of the girl , Angela, is pictured to be a very beautiful women. A model who doesn't even look like she has children. Abby doesn't seem to be the only offspring that has spunk though! There's a older sister involved name Meghan. She's a professional dancer, singer, and even rides horses. SEEMS PERFECT ?!

Nev and Meghan started a 8 month long relationship! WHO DATES SOMEONE THEY'VE NEVER SEEN IN PERSON ? I think that is the most craziest thing anyone sane can ever do. Throughout the relationship, Meghan sends Nev short recordings of her singing. HE DISCOVERS THE PERSON SINGING ISN'T EVEN HER! He is completely devastated like me when McDonald's ice cream machine is down. I felt really bad for the poor guy because he seems really sweet. The girl who is displayed as Meghan is really pretty , and every sweet guy deserves a pretty girl. Then OPPORTUNITY arrives. they have to shoot a dance film closer to Meghan that they originally were. Soooo , Meghan apparently lives at this farm , but when they pull up GUESS WHAT? IT'S EMPTY! They pop up at her mother's house surprisingly to pay a visit.

Angela doesn't look like model at all. She looks nothing like the picture. Abby doesn't even paint that much, even her friend confessed to that. Abby even says that she hasn't seen her other sister in a long time. She says, " I don't even remember what she looks like anymore."  Nev and his accomplices finally smell the foul play. Something is very off with the family. Someone here is a pathological liar , and needs help." Meghan" sends a Facebook message saying that she is being sent to rehab for alcohol abuse. Oh, Come On ! How stupid does she think we are ? Turns out, IT'S ANGELA THE ENTIRE TIME! She played different personalities on Social Media and everything. The girl in the pictures was actually a model name Aimee Gonzales . It makes me very paranoid. What if someone out there has a fake profile of me? Angela confesses , and Nev is completely heartbroken. If hugs could be mailed , I'll send him at least 10. I understand that life gets hard , and sometimes people need a escape. I feel as though painting was Angela's ONLY escape, and she soon just got bored with it. Maybe she has a personality disorder , we'll never know. She's a very good painter, but she has so much competition. Angela should just move somewhere that art is more appreciated Then, she'll find the spark in herself to just leave the different accounts alone. The trio went home with their final answer about the mysterious family. However, I will continue to pray for Angela.
