I believe a background premise is necessary to extravagate justice. Intrusive punishment interferes with more than just the person being punished. If a person can intrusively punish someone then that gives them a negative gain in their life which is comparable to bullying. Crime is crime and it is better settled with the punishments that do not cause the punishers to think they have ultimate power over the individual receiving the punishment which creates injustice. Instead, I believe punishment should be instrumental and as far from directly effecting the punisher. Bad police have a sense of empowerment that makes them feel as if they are more worthy than everyone else on any given situation. It is one thing to have power but another to identify as being more worthy. This creates extreme separation and evil among punishers. There could be good punishers and bad punishers. I don't believe punishment is good or bad, but it is fundamental. Good police serve good people while dealing with the bad in a respectful, meaningful, or a pre-cautious but unselfish manner which makes them heroes while bad police terrorize the bad as if themselves are devils with the sole purpose of punishing the people that leave themselves vulnerable by breaking the law.
The woman committed a crime and an evil act. People deal with crimes while the spiritual matters are dealt with by the final Judge of our life. The punishers in this show definitely crossed the line and acted as if they were more than human or treated the woman as if she was not human nor another misguided soul.

I agree with your opinions about the punishment situation. The people who punished her seemed to think they were more worthy or had the right to judge her for her wrong-doings. However, in the midst of punishing her, they are just as bad. In this case, not only did they take matters into their own hands, but now the cruel way that they punished her could very well face them in their Judgement. They took it too far in my opinion. They especially went to far with erasing her memory.
