Humanoid Robots for the future

Robots has been the most fascinating thing created by humans. Most robots can do some pretty amazing things such as super human strength,  advance intelligence, and the ability to do things that any human beings can't do. However, there are limits to how the robots can reach the human-like characteristics. The more the robot becomes like a human, the more humans would feel creepy towards the robot.

The word "robot" was first used in 1921 by Karel Capek, a Czech playwriter, who involved a factory that builds artificial people to be servants for humans in a play called, R.U.R. (Rossoum's Universal Robots).  In 1495, Leonardo da Vinci, an sculptor and a painter, built a mechanical knight to mainly entertain the royalties. The robot could only have its arms and open its jaw. Also, it was more of a display in front of your castle.

On the other hand, Honda engineers have created the most advance humanoid named, ASIMO, 20 years.   The word ASIMO stands for Advance Step in Innovation Mobility. According to Lee Ann Obringer and Jonathan Strickland, ASIMO is the only robot that can walk and climb stairs independently. In addition, ASIMO can recognize voices and faces, understand preprogrammed gestures, and interface with IC communication cards. ASIMO was mainly built to help people, especially elderly, because ASIMO is 4 feet and 3 inches, which is just right for a person seating on a wheelchair. Also, ASIMO can do jobs that are too dangerous for human to do like,  disarming bombs or fighting fire.

In comparison to the film, "Be Right Back," I had an interesting and a weird feeling about the Ash. It was interesting in way Ash 2 looked exactly like the real Ash, and how Ash 2 was developed into a fully functional humanoid robot. Also, the advance technologies they used in the movie, like the car and the computer/drawing board. Likewise, it was weird because it didn't have a full human expressions and characteristics. You have to add more information into that robot, so it will become more like the person. Although, you can only add that person's public information and not the private information. Unless, you have access to that person's brain, which is impossible to do. As a result, it would've been much better if Ash 2 had all Ash's full characteristics and personalities from the inside and the outside.

I really liked how you added some history of robots and the definition. That was a good touch
