But really, who's in control?

Technology may sound like "fun and games" and all, but will it always be?  If we really think about it, technology has become dominant over humans' life.  My concern is: what can the result of this be?  Advances in technology can definitely be beneficial when it deals with aiding and maintaining the well-being of humanity.  By well-being I mean mental health, physical health and "God's Creation".  Some humans have become ignorant in some aspects and don't realize what technology is coming to.
In my opinion, I think that inventors take advantage of this obsession humans have with technology.  I believe inventors need to consider humanity ethics when constructing these robots; they shouldn't try to replace humans on this earth.  There is already plenty of technology that help us humans in our daily lives, there is no need to create a duplicate that will replace us for whatever reason.  It can eventually take over this earth.  Then what will be the use of our existence on this planet if we already have someone doing everything for us?
In the movie "Be Right Back", Ash 2.0 is brought in with the intentions of helping Martha with the grief of his death.  However, because of her attitude towards him at the end of the movie, we can realize it caused more harm than good.  Although having a device that helps someone have a conversation with a dead loved one makes the person seem insane, the technology presented first isn't as creepy as the robot at the end.  It did help Martha calm down.  But towards the end when the Ash 2.0 is introduced, Martha falls into the "Uncanny Valley".  She realizes this exact replica of her ex-husband isn't EXACTLY like him and will never be.  She suffered once again when she realizes this robot isn't him and she probably felt like he died all over again. Martha hurt herself more by becoming too involved with this robot, which prevented her from moving on with an actual human being.  She could of fell in love again and be happy once more.
This brings us to the question once again: Did Martha control Ash 2.0 or did Ash 2.0 control her?  We can also simply relate this to phones; how they have had us controlled.  A lot of people wouldn't be able to make it without their phone.  Technology has the right to advance and become better, but it should stay considering the respect for humanity. We should especially stay away from the Uncanny Valley as a prevention to some harms robots could cause in the lives of human beings.

I agree that we need to limit how advanced we make the robots but I believe that robots should replace our workforce. Instead of having humans performing repetitive, physical labor I would much rather have a replaceable robot.
