The debate between different forms of punishment has been around for centuries. Still today, people question what is the correct way to punish someone for their crimes. There is no right answer for this, to analysis this you will have to take in mind peoples religious view, moral and ethical principles. A couple options are death, torture and jail time. Is any of this options too much or very lenient for the crime? Well depends, on what crime and who are you asking. The series, "Black Mirror- White Bear," is a debatable and critical film that makes people question moral ethics of punishments.
I personally, enjoyed questioning myself and my beliefs on topics that are not normally discussed. The first question, I came across was, "Why is this topic not well represented today in politics?" There must be a fairly amount of people that are pro death penalties for it to still remain in may states. Also, "How different is our systems death penalty from the torture of the girl in the film?" In America, death penalties has become less aggressive but is deciding someone's death really any less of a crime? The series, "Black Mirror- White Bear," speaks about a girl who is tortured by taking away her memory and making her relieve a horrific episode over and over again. Her torture is based upon a crime she committed. The movie makes the audience feel sympathy for her even after revealing her horrific crime.
Additionally, I believe that what they were doing to the girl was not ethical. They were doing the same crime to her that she did to the little girl. People may argue that it is the fair thing to do. The people erased her memory, therefore, the torture they made upon her was made to an innocent soul. They felt joy as they saw her suffer and even took their children to the park as entertainment. I feel that it makes them just as horrible as the crime she committed.
I would like to believe that in this day and age we as humans are not capable of this kind of torture but looking back in history could we really be surprised on the types of actions humans are capable of making? “Black Mirror- White Bear," is a great movie to learn and review. People should become aware of the things that people could be capable of.

I agree with you I don't think this culture would be able to support something like this jus because of how awful it is to think that they made a joke and enjoyed scaring her. This is probably something that has been discussed instead of the death penalty but I don't think yet would be able to pass something like this.
