Biocan: The Revolution of Trash Disposal

This idea of a trash can that could use the waste put in it to power the place at which it is being used is quite interesting and the way that this is done by using the special type of bacteria that can produce electricity from the disposal of this waste.  The presentation of this project was quite spectacular as it was close to the 35 minute time requirement and there was basically nothing left out from the presentation which most definitely earned this group an A+ grade for their final project and I'm sure most anyone would agree with this proposal as the project was well presented, perfectly explained the technological part of the invention, and had its questions easily received by the group in question and answers were quite adequate.  This is a great idea and if it could truly be mass produced it would be a wonderful thing but like they said in the presentation the real problem is producing what they are trying to do on such a large scale because at the moment no one has been able to create a type of confinement that could keep the bacteria alive and let it do its job before it died therefore this project does fall in the merely possible realm because it has not be created in this way yet and you aren't really sure how long it would take for something to engineer something that could do this like this trash can.  There is also the problem of producing something on such a large scale even if it was possible and someone engineered this trash can into reality than you would have to convince someone with a substantial amount of funds to believe in this trash can and to actually put it into production in the first place and again it would be a great risk because you never know what people are going to do or buy if they are going to determine that this trash can is going to be the new thing or if they are going to overlook it they would have to do a lot of convincing to start this kind of revolution in the trash disposal industry, although if this trash can did revolutionize the trash industry it would be a great thing for the environment greatly reducing the amount of landfills that are in place, and hopefully making sure no more are created since our trash will now be providing us with much needed energy at a much lower cost and a much greater way to say hasta luego to our trash.
