Stress Less? TELL ME HOW!!

The Stress Less App is something that I could really use. This group couldn’t have come up with a better idea at a better time. As usual most college students are stressed the most around finals and mid-terms. They handed out surveys for us to take to see just how stressed we are and Lord knows mine was almost at EMERGENCY! I am constantly stressed not only about school but work as well. Stress is something that I have to work on as well as others because it can lead to many sicknesses and diseases that would not benefit our health.
This app was designed to calm your nerves and give you places to go or things to do when you feel stressed. There would be a questionnaire at the opening of the app that would get an idea of your stress level and who you are as a person. I found it to be very interesting. If this app were usable I would very surely download it on every device possible.
Their statistics showed that most people, mainly college students, who are overly stressed can be depressed. Depression and lead to mental sickness and that could lead to suicide. Because the rate of suicide increases so much every year I think it was very important to address it as a problem. The app could help you by providing an inspirational quote or calming playlist of your favorite selections. It would suggest different products that would be suitable in the calming of your nerves and make you more relaxed. It would also list places for you to unwind and be stress free, whether you like to take a walk in the park or go to the bar.
Although it would suggest things based on your personality, it would not suggest things that would be harmful to you or others around you. For instance, if you felt that cutting yourself was a great way to relieve stress or depression it would give you and alternative, such as going to the gym or reading a book. I think that this app could help more than just college students but a wide range of people. Those who work strenuous 9-5 jobs or soccer moms or even childcare providers could be prone to using this app and gaining a little guidance in how to live their lives stress free. But the group also reminded us that not all stress is bad, there is some stress that encourages you to persevere and be stronger than you were before. I think this was the best project, besides my group and I thoroughly enjoyed listening to it being presented.
