Finance University is a Great Idea

Finance University seems to be a feasible technological solution to the modern issue of low college budget for students. Speaking from experience, I could have used this service my four years here at Christian Brothers University. I have had financial struggles and have experienced working three jobs at a time on multiple occasions just to come to school, so I understand the necessity of this service. As for the delivery, I really enjoyed the commercial the group decided to create. It was a creative and fun idea that got the point of the service across. It even had a jingle that is easy to remember. The group then decided to describe how their product is better than other products on the market by stating that their resources are outdated. By showing videos regarding how to make a budget according to government agencies, they further emphasized their point. Now, as for the website, it seems to be extremely well made. I like how easy it is to move through the site. The group’s service and tips page seems to be very useful, especially the budget worksheets. I have actually never seen a budget worksheet, so just seeing the presentation was very educational. The “Our Team” section, in the Purpose tab, made the site seem even more professional. To actually take the time to write out what each team member does in regards to the service shows that the group was even able to pay attention to smaller details. Another interesting page is the statistics page. It describes many different kinds of statistics including college student loans and paying them back, tips on how to manage your money (such as starting a savings account), stats on students after college, and a description of how students suffer after college without money. Now, there does seem to be a mistake on this page where the site states that seventy one percent of students who graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree, graduated with a degree. I am assuming they meant graduated with debt, but I actually have no idea as to what they were trying to say there. However, putting that aside for now, the group’s Meet Our Clients page was also a nice touch to the site. Once again, this makes the site seem more like a real service and delivers the product very well. To spend the time to create this page also shows the group’s devotion to their project.
