Help the Homeless

There are homeless people all over the world and any moral person would want to help. Well one of the groups came up with a great idea to help in this area. They came up with vending machines filled with non-paritiable items for those who suffer from homelessness. Then they came up with an idea of a prepaid card that would help the homeless. The card was a great idea but the delivery of how the card work needs a little bit of work. They stated that each card gets so much money a day and that it allows the card owner to receive one meal a day. One meal a day is better than no meal a day, but then again that still isn't enough for any person homeless or not. And each family gets one card but still there is only one meal on there. So when you think about it that way. One person can hardly survive off of one meal a day. So imagine one family trying to survive off of the portions they have to break up that one meal up into in order for them all to be able to eat. It is indeed a great idea but more thought would make it better. For instance, the homeless would all be enrolled in a program at a group home where they are able to rest, shower, or eat. But also be able to speak with counselors to help with their mental and emotional states. A career advisor around to help them find jobs and write resumes and apply for jobs as well as prepare for interviews. They have to be enrolled in the program but also be active. Because people could enroll in the program but not trying to progress and that takes away from those that actually need the help to get back on his or her feet. Some concerns that were brought up that would negatively help those with the card. Like the ability to buy drugs or alcohol with the card,  so there should be rules and guidelines for those that have been an abuser of these things. And that is where the counseling comes in to play as well. Overall the project was a great idea. It just needs a little help to really sell it. It could be a great thing if it were real. Just a few critics.
