FreeFlo--- Let it Drip..er.. Rain

The second project that appealed to me the most was FreeFlo. The subject matter of healthy feminine hygiene of homeless women intrigued me because I really didn't know these women went through such pain. As a young woman, it actually made me feel sorry for those women who have to use their children's pampers as pads. If this project were to be published tomorrow, then it would spread very quickly due to its sweet and effective method of collecting proceeds.

The presentation overall was very good. The Prezi was the perfect tool to use for this project because it was creative just like the idea/concept. Also, the information presented in the Prezi was very shocking because many did not know about these homeless women problems. The website was very organized, as well. I also loved the hashtag, as well (#Free2Flo). All in all, everything was very organized and direct.

Another thing that I absolutely adored about this project was the way to raise profit. The girls/organization decided to sell chocolate from local dessert shops in order to support homeless women. It is actually very condescending because some girls crave sweets during that time of the month. But as I brought up in class, some of the chocolate bought can be donated to the homeless women while they get through their cycle. This would be a very great idea and a sweet addition to the organization. Also, it would put a smile on the face of one woman in poverty.

Throughout the presentation, I did not see or hear anything that needed to be altered. Other than adding new and creative ideas, there would be no minor changes. I would advertise the FreeFlo organization in more places other than the list the girls provided in the presentation. There may be young women and ladies all over Memphis experiencing these problems. As a result, the organization should not be limited to just women in poverty.

In conclusion, the FreeFlo project was a very good idea. It brought attention to the problems of homeless women and their feminine hygiene. Many people like me were not aware of these problems. But, thanks to the FreeFlo organization, these women would receive proper care. The idea of selling sweets to collect profit is also a great idea. As a young woman, I really connected to this project! Chase, Kelsi, Brittanie, and Kaitlyn: very, very good job!
