"Be Right Back"
This episode highlights the dangers of social media. It also shows how involved and obsessed with technology people can be. It begins with showing Ash paying more attention to his phone than Martha, in the car when she has the coffee and when she is asking him about what soup he would like. Ash goes to run an errand and takes a while, Martha begins to worry and begins calling her sister and the place where they rented the van. A few moments after making the phone calls she gets a knock on the door from the police. Sadly, Ash ends up dying. At his funeral, a friend of her tries to talk her into doing an online process where she can contact Ash. Not anything spiritual as her friend mentioned. The website would analyze all his social media accounts and emails to mimic Ash's vocabulary and personality. At first Martha thinks its a crazy idea and gets upset. Later that night she finds out she is pregnant. Martha's friend texts her that she signed Martha up for the website. Martha thinks about it for a moment and decides to try it out. She becomes to get attached to her phone since she is texting Ash's online person. She even takes it to her sonogram and lets it listen to the baby's heartbeat. She drops her phone and it blacks out. Martha begins to cry hysterically and is desperate to turn it on. She is able to get it on and it tell her that there is another level to this. The new level is ordering a life size model Ash. Once he comes into the episode there are missing details that Martha notices. Such as a mole that was near his collar bone. Another thing that Martha notices is that Ash's life size model does not argue back with her. Since this Ash is only programmed to know the good side, because what people show online is different than what they are in real life. Martha is unable to get rid of the life size model since she made a connection. She keeps him in the attic and her daughter visits him. Martha hides her from her family friends living her life as lie, also showing what people post online can be lie. People want to paint this perfect picture that their life great. That is what Martha is doing by keeping Ash hidden. This episode showed how people can become obsessed with technology and how far one will go. This says a lot about the the future, such as people can have all the technology they want, and with the latest gadgets. However this does not satisfy the gap their is with actual human interaction.

It really makes you wonder the direction of technology and the future of human interaction. In some ways, it's hard to visualize the episode "Be Right Back" because we think it's science fiction, but in others, it's really not that far off from the way we live now. That means we will soon have to considered the morality of these "beings" and how we will go about life with them.
I still have mixed feelings about the movie. I think it would be a cool thing to happen although it's not a good relationship. I also think it's extremely creepy and weird.
