Cultural Cooking Review

The last idea that was introduced to the class was a way for people to learn about other's cultures through food. I strongly believe that this project was hands down the best that was presented. It had a lot of supporting facts and research done that helped support it's idea. Racism and misunderstanding are a huge problem in today's society and the United States of America has suffered greatly because of the history with racism. Most of the time people hate what they do not understand and with the culture cooking website it will help people better understand other people's culture. The research behind the project is what helped it become such a great idea. The group gave statistics of the diversity in the country and the state of Tennessee. The majority of Tennessee is white. My only disagreement with the project is the statement, "White people are uncultured". I believe that white people do have a culture that is sometimes looked over because it has become the "normal" in America. People either say white people are uncultured or racist. Every argument has two sides, and to say that other races are cultured and the white race is uncultured is a one sided argument. I do think it is important to know one another because it would help people see each other as equals. Differences are important but that is what makes us great, we can all be different and appreciate each other's differences. Cultural Cooking is a great idea that if actually invented could benefit humanity.
