GroupSync- the tinder version of group projects

Being the first ones to present is never easy. It is like an icebreaker. No one really knows what to expect and you pretty much set the bar for where other presentations will fall. I think GroupSync did a great job presenting. They were fun and kept us hooked. Their website was really nice. It was clean and well organized.

At first, I had a hard time deciphering what the social issue they were trying to solve was. To me it seemed like they had created a website to connect with other students. It was unclear what they were trying to solve. However, once the group members explained what problem they were trying to solve it totally made sense. It was a great concept. I think the group should have presented some other statistics that gave us a better idea of what they were trying to solve. I think the group should have focused a little more on the bigger picture. They just needed to expand on it for it to reach its potential because they had an awesome concept. This is something that can really help students.

I liked the fact that you could connect with people across the world to work on similar projects. This could be very helpful when you are trying to work on a project by yourself. It kind of works as a database. You are able to get information from other people. However, I think that they should add a part where you can ONLY work with your group members and no one else. This way the page is still functional to those not wanting to share their work.

Another suggestion is for the group to add the personality test online and things like that. These tests results could go on your profile giving people a better idea of what kind of group member you are! I also really liked Dr.J’s idea where ex-group members could rate each other. This way other people looking for group members have a better idea of who they might be working with. Overall, I think this group did a great job. They presented well and had good information. The group seemed prepared and they seemed to work well together. It was a topic we could all relate to since everyone has had to work with group members before. I think they were smart to choose a topic that people can relate to all across the board.
