Nirvana

The third group to present which was Nirvana, came up with a very good idea. They began with background information about anxiety and the different types of anxiety as well as how it affects people. Other than anxiety they deeply discussed about depression, down syndrome and briefly about how their idea could later help other mental illnesses.

The website itself was very well made and thought through. The only problem with the design was that the colors and the way that the background moved made you feel dizzy. The website overall was made to help students or anyone dealing with mental illnesses or stress to help relax and let loose without anyone judging them. The website has several tabs where anyone who was using the website could watch satisfying and relaxing videos. They could also play relaxing games to help distract them from any worries they may have. To release some problems off their chest the participants can post messages without getting judged while others comment back. They have other tabs that contain daily quotes and messages to encourage the participants.  One of the final tabs contained music to for the participants to listen to relax. There was a problem when this tab was first announced. The problem was that everyone has different taste in music, but the group stated that there could be many different genres of music so that everyone could find something that they could like.

After the presentation there were minor problems that the class found. One of the questions were if an account had to be made to be able to use any of the things that the website promoted. The group was able to clarify that to use the website an account did not have to be made. Anyone at any time could use and contribute to the site. Another problem that was discussed was that they talked about autism in their background information, but they never discussed on how the website could help anyone on the autism spectrum. They then said that they discussed autism because they were hoping that in the future they could implement things to the site that could help anyone on the autism spectrum. One of the final problems that was mentioned was that with the chat section anyone who wrote a message could leave an anonymous message judging any of the other chatters of someone could mention that they were going to commit self-harm. To fix this problem the group said that there would be a program on the site that would alert the owners of the site of anyone who was in danger but also help delete hateful comments. The group overall did a good job of presenting and clarifying any problem that was found on their cite.
