I really want a tiny house, but apparently, I have too much stuff. (no like seriously I have too many clothes alone) I always watch the shows like Tiny House Hunters and Tiny Houses, Big Living. I never really paid attention to all the features that were very eco-friendly, but I do appreciate the features. Many of the features were great ideas, but they did not seem economical to the actual cost that they were trying to sell the houses for.
I love the idea of creating a space for the homeless, however, I think that going from the being homeless straight to a house could be a bit much. I would think this housing would be a better fit for small families that are trying to get back on their feet. I think these could possibly be an alternative to dorm housing maybe for working graduate students. It could be affordable housing for those particular markets.
On the business side, this project could be a great b-corp or Benefit Corporation. A B-corps is are “B Corps are for-profit companies certified by the nonprofit B Lab to meet rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency.” B-Corps are very new to the state of Tennessee. One of my favorites in Tennessee is Give Good. The business itself sells chocolate and toffee, but its mission is to employ people with autism. I think that this type of business could also work for the tiny-homes idea.
I really liked the idea, but they really needed to hone in on who exactly their target market and their different customer segments. It was very broad, however with some market research it could be narrowed very quickly. I think the process of buying the house was way more oversimplified than it definitely should have been. I feel like having specific tiny houses representatives would be additionally helpful. This would give a buyer more of an experience. I LOVE THE IDEA of UberMoves. I think this could be great not only for this idea but also for people that need help moving. Presentation wise group members did not seem very enthusiastic about the project. This could be a very realistic idea for the future, I do not feel like we really have the market for this type of idea yet. Additionally, in Memphis, I would be worried about the Memphis weather and the effects it would on the house. The weather is Memphis is very interesting year around.

With the not knowing the difference between anxiety disorders and common anxiety, I felt the same way. Your app would bring so much awareness to the anxiety and the seriousness behind it, in my opinion. Regarding the tiny houses, I, too, feel that having these houses for the homeless was bit of a stretch. They would be better off with the small families, as you stated.
