They're All Sadist

When watching the episode “White Bear” until the end and seeing why Victoria was there and what was going on, it is hard not to have some type of opinion on the way that she is being punished. It is the old question of whether death or torture is a reasonable punishment for any type of crime. Some agree that it is completely reasonable, others think not, and then there are those few that think it is reasonable is some cases and in other cases it should not even be thought of.
In my opinion, the type of punishment Victoria was put through was too extreme and unnecessary. She was put through this torture of running for her life every day with no clue as to why because they wiped her memory every day. She wakes up every day with no memory as to who she is or what she did so is it really punishing the same woman? If they really wanted to punish her for her crimes, do they not think it would be better to leave her memories so that she knows why she is being punished. The people who came up with the idea and the people in charge of seeing the torture through could really be sadist. As well as the on-lookers who paid to see this woman be put through this torture every day. It is shown in the end of the episode that they have been punishing Victoria for all of October, that just a month as far as we known. But that is still too much.
The people turned this punishment into a whole show to be seen by people. Basically, people are paying to get off on the fear and pain of Victoria and that is sick! It is not bad to want the women to be punished but to torture her in the way that they did is just wrong.
Victoria’s punishment is wrong in the way they go about erasing her memory only to remind her of what she is being punished for. It is questionable as to whether the punishment is affective if her memory is being erased every time her day starts over.
To state again, they are all sadists! To turn a torturing of someone into a show that they make money off is wrong. To let anyone who pays come in and see her be tortured along with recording her punishment is wrong and too extreme to be considered a humane punishment.

I agree that what they did is sadistic. They're not even punishing her foe the crime and letting her feel guilty about it if they keep brainwashing her. Because of that, they're profiting and getting pleasure from scaring her.

I agree that it was a very sadistic setting, but I feel the only thing that made it sadistic was allowing people to pay money and participate in her torture.

I would pay to go see it and probably participate in it honestly. Even though she didn't physically touch the child, she still was there and never intervened to stop the guy. Her punishment is what she deserved. Honestly, I think they should do it for a month or two and then throw her into solitary confinement in jail, so she can't interact with other people. Solitary confinement would literally drive her crazy.
