To help or to not help?

  "Do I stand by or do I help out?" 

The episode exemplifies the way we are as a society today. The woman struggled in many ways, instead of us helping her we chose to record her and upload it. We often times see this in our youth  and young adults. For example, when a fight occurs instead of trying to help we record and do nothing. We are quick to say, “World star!” We don’t help the cause but choose to go against the cause. We also choose to be blind of the situation. We tend to ignore the situation and create the bystander effect. We think that someone else would stop, when really everyone has that same thought. The result being that in the end no one helps victim. This causes the victim to continuously be victimized. We also see how society looks at mental illnesses. we blame sick for things that are under their control. People that are schizophrenics, bipolar, or someone with multiple persons personality tend to be shunned or ignored in today's society. We do not try to help them but instead look away from them. We try to get away from them as much as possible. We ask questions such as “why should we help them?” ,” why waste our resources on a lost cause?” or even " why do they even exist?” When do we step in and say enough is enough. Instead of ridiculing her we should’ve got to the root of the problem to figure out what happened those dark time. What caused her to stoop so low as to kill an innocent baby? We asked her these questions , but never asked what were ways that the situation could have been resolved. Instead they put on a show  that made them become  dehumanized ourselves in the process. So are we not the monsters? Are we not the same as her? What separates from her from you?When did we become the judge?

 You guys are the same in this instance is just as she tortured the little girl do you torture her. You could say that it isn't as bad. She tortured the little girl in a horrible way. However, torture is torture. This isn’t the way that we should handle situations. But if you look at today’s society dealing with the prison you could say that they are almost similar. We as people have to do better. We as a government should do better. We have to do better for the next generation. If not then we are all doomed.
