The Eco Tiny-Homes was a great idea for a future invention. Its a home that could fit everything a regular house could have, but into a much smaller version of a house. It reduced all the extra attachments that come with a house like pipelines and electrical lines. Their purpose was to provide the opportunity for home ownership without a financial burden. While the mission is to provide affordable eco-friendly housing for people of all ages. However, it had targeted the wrong group of audience for this invention. The targeted population was to the homeless and freshly out of college students, basically a sense of lower class. The holmes were well designed and organized to sustain a family of three or just one individual. It was designed to be a comfortable place to live with a minimal amount of space. Some of the styles they had on their website look pretty comfy to live in. One of my favorite style of homes was the minimal and sleek home style. It has a sense of open space style of home and more futuristic as well.
Even though, its a very attractive idea it does has flaws that make it unreasonable. For example, the price range is quite unrealistic with the amount of technology it has to make it a more efficient style of home. It depends on solar panels to produce electricity and has technology that can disposal waste. Also, it needs a water system that can provide water without any sources of the pipeline connected to the ground. Since it a mobile home, it cannot be connected to any sources of lines through the ground.
In addition, the homes target the wrong group of people that can not afford them. It seems more reasonable to make these homes as an attraction for the wealthy. It can be a vacation home to any location because of its mobility. Unless the price range decrease it seems too unreasonable for a purchase for the lower class to escape a financial burden.
The concept is a good idea but it should be processed more to make it more of a reasonable purchase. As I said, it a very attractive home to live in but most people would not want it as a permanent home. The way these homes are presented it's a rehabilitation home that helps people get back on their feet. An alternative solution is to target a different source of a group to purchase these type of homes.

I think your point on these not being permanent homes is really solid, and I hadn't really even considered that. Who is the target audience for these homes? The group said kids getting out of college, but why would we buy a $20,000 home when for many of us, living at home with parents will be an option for at least some time? I just can't see most college kids justifying spending 20k on a home that they'll want out of in 2 years. Just get an apartment.
I do agree on the fact that the target audience was probably a little unreasonable considering that the prices of these homes ranged from $15,000 to $ 30,000 which is still really expensive to the poor. The other thing that concerns me as well is the whole idea of is it safe to live there permanently considering that it will have to withstand certain weather conditions depending on the location of the tiny homes. I am pretty sure if someone poor decided to pay for one of these homes they will be expecting to live there for a good amount of time because it costed them a good amount of money, so if these houses are target towards the poor who probably don't have a backup plan if something were to happen to their tiny house, they will need to be able to hold up to any type of weather.
