The Right Punishment?

I don’t know how to feel about this episode, White Bear. At the beginning of the episode I felt so bad for Victoria because no one was helping her. They were just watching and recording her. I was like how can people do that, but I then thought about it and I realized that we do that today. We record everything and post it on social media. Anyways, I felt bad for her specially when she said that she was looking for her “daughter”. As I was watching the episode, I don’t know why, but I kept thinking of the movie The Purge. I think it was because of what the hunters who were after Victoria were wearing those costumes and masks. Also, how no one in the movie is doing anything to stop the killing of the people.

At the end of the episode, I didn’t feel bad for Victoria as I did in the beginning. After I found out that she helped her boyfriend kill this innocent little girl by recording everything, it changed my perspective about her. I bet she felt the way the little girl did when she wasn’t doing anything to help and just stood there recording her. I am not saying she deserved the kind of punishment she was getting, but what she did was horrible. No one should record other human beings being torture in any way, although we do, it is wrong. I think they should have done this punishment one time just so she could see how it felt being recorded and not being helped. Then put in prison or a mental hospital because people who do that are not in their right mind.

I think they shouldn’t have erased Victoria’s memory away just to start the process all over again. She should have kept her memories, so she could remember everything that her boyfriend and her did to this little girl. Her guilt should have been more than enough to punish her. Knowing that she helped kill a little girl, who had done nothing wrong and who had a whole life ahead of her, should have been enough for her to feel horrible. Erasing her memory was not doing much to her because they were erasing everything she did wrong. At some point, her brain was not going to be able to take it anymore and she would just go crazy. However, if she didn’t feel bad about helping killed this girl then she should be in a mental hospital and stay there until she realized that what she did was wrong.
