Morcal

The Morcal presentation was overall a good presentation in my opinion. Morcal is an app that helps you find a moral standpoint in a certain situation. Moral dilemmas happen all the time so I think this was a very good idea. There were, indeed some kinks that would have to be worked out if it did indeed become an actual app. I liked that they offered all kinds of categories. They even created the app and passed it around the class, which was very good because it keeps the attention of the audience. I think it was super unique and dedicated to have group t-shirts for their presentation as well. Their image on the t-shirt was a very good symbol for the app. It made it to where people of more than one race, and people any gender, age, or religious belief could feel comfortable using it. It was obvious that they really put thought into the assignment and they were able to give relative examples with each category. Rather than just telling us what the app consisted of they were able to relate each category to a real life example that it would be applicable to. I also liked how the group thought about things to fix in the future if it was an actual app. The idea of their app was very futuristic and left room for change in the future. Apps in the future could potentially be holograms, or a more advanced Siri, so I think the fact that it is an app is something that will benefit in the future. I think the app needs a few more categories, and be able to give a direct answer to the moral dilemma instead of giving information on the topic and different standpoints. It would be beneficial to have the app know who you are in depth, rather than just taking a personality test at the beginning of it. If the app was able to know who you are, and your beliefs to a T it would be a much more efficient app. I think it would also be beneficial if they would have included ways to advertise their app. If I were someone they were trying to persuade into using their app I would want to know that they can market it and make it successful. One last thing I would change about the app is the design of the app. It was kind of a plain jane design. Everything was blue and it did not have anything to catch my eye. It would be cool if it was a more complex design. Overall, the group did a good job and captured the main idea of the project, there were only minor things that needed to change.
