Young votes matter

I feel as if this app should have already existed by now. We have the technology and the ability to make it happen so why hasn't it happened? It will take many years for it to be accepted by everyone nationally but while it is still in the start-up period there would still be the "old style" of voting booth you could still visit instead. The older generations are not as accepting of this kind of technology's and probably will not be a big part of it. But in the start-up of a company or idea, it's better to go after a single group of people that are willing to change to new types of technology than go after the "set in stone" types of elders.
I have always been skeptical of people hacking my online accounts but if the government was going to control the security of this app and my valuable information I might be more willing to try something like this. I do regularly purchase items online and trust who I am sending my money to but when I am doing something like that there is usually a trail that follows my money online. If you are doing an online voting there must be 100% reassurance that your vote is being counted and no manipulation has happened it must be quick, trustable, and unhackable.
As it was brought up in class, to avoid people registering multiple accounts and votings more than one time there will have to be a system of personal identification that is only traceable back to one person. Blood and thumbprints, thumbprints are easier to access for everyone as a whole so it will be much faster and easier for people to vote. I think there will have to be different ways of identification for people that might have suffered some type of accident but they are just how things are when you try to incorporate a whole new idea to am an entire nation.
There are a lot of unregistered voters in America that is not doing their duty as a free American to vote. Which raises the question why isn't registration automatic for when you turn 18? Why would you want to make voting for your country more difficult than it has to be. Young voters between the ages 18-24 can really make an impact on election day if we had at least half of the percentage of the 60+ voters.
