Morcal is an app that is designed to help people find their moral values. You can type in any question or moral dilemma you have and it will give you an answer based on different cultures, religions, or belief systems. You can also ask what a certain culture, religion or belief system is like. The app has each category organized in alphabetical order for easier access. Their was a wide variety of categories you could choose from. The sources on the app should be valid sources and should give clear explanations of what is asked of the person. This would give the app a better stand than just googling the question. I believe this app can help younger people find out what they believe in and help them find their moral standpoint on different concerns all over the world. For older people who already know where they stand, it could help educate them on other belief systems. Knowing a wide variety of belief systems can help someone understand why some people react the way they do when they accidentally eat beef or why some girls cannot show their shoulders or ankles. I think the app itself is a good idea, but I had a few concerns. One of the concerns I had is getting all valid and up to date resources. Someone would have to be constantly looking for new and improved resources that would be able to answer any questions. Another concern I had is being able to think of the questions that people may have about moral issues and having a valid source to answer that question. It may be hard to be able to have every single opinion of every single belief system to every single question that someone may ask. The part about the app that I really like was the part that would talk back to you if you needed help. Suicide is an ongoing problem that needs to have a solution and maybe this app could help save someones life. I also liked the presentation of the project. It was very neat and well organized. The tee shirts that were made were for sure were a winner for me. In all, I think the app Morcal is a good idea. There are a few things that need to be changed but I think that it really could help some people find their stand on different moral issues.
