Overview

So this week we ban the group presentations. Two of the three we had this week were about rape. It is so evident that the system for rape cases is broken. There is so much emphasis on dealing with the victims that the attention on the criminals is set in the back burner. Both of the presentations this week would be very helpful to use for victims. However, the first step should definitely be to catch and charge the rapist. This means however, that the privacy and the sensitivity of the victims will be compromised. I personally feel that it is necessary in order to change the behavior and trend of rape cases. Obviously rape victims will need to have some kind of therapy to coupe with the terrible experience. However, this needs to be done in conjunction with their help in holding the rapist responsible.

The other project was about budgeting. The presentation was awesome. The rap was definitely my favorite part. The idea was good, this online financial planners would be helpful. However, I do not think that these planners would help to relive college debt. Again, I think the problem is more rooted on how expensive education is in general. There are many countries who offer free state education. This allows even the less privileged to attend school. The debt concept is a good idea, however, I think this trend starts as part of an education that is earlier in life. Maybe after 16 when we can actually begin to work, save and spend our own money. Credit in the US is a huge problem. Even if you cannot afford things immediately, there is a loophole that allows to buy the certain thing but in the long run it is a bad choice because interest grows, the value of the object drops and you are pretty much left with nothing and a lot of something to pay off.
