Going Fishing

   Social media is one thing, posting on social media is another. social media in the modern age has become so large post. so many people are on social media either: telling about there day, the food they ate, what they will do tonight (like go to a party), or share something for others to look at. on the downside, anyone can look up a persons name and either look at what that person does/looks like, or would want to communicate with that person. unfortunately, that is what happend in the latest film Catfish.

Catfish is about a guy named Nev who lives in New York. Nev made a pen pal who's name was Abby. Abby loved to paint and would send Nev painting she made. Nev eventually found not only Abby on social media, but the mother, the sister, the brother, and a few more and Nev become friends on face book with all of them. Nev would talk on the phone but it was not with Abby, it was with the mother. Nev and the mother talked for a while and continued to talk over face book. eventually, Nev found the older sister Megan. Both Nev and Megan began to speak and have a relationship just a little over a year. Megan would send him songs Megan wrote, art, and told Nev all these things. Nev started to investigate and started to find out that what Megan was sending did not add up to her story. Nev decided with a camera crew/friends that they were going to meet the family. so they did.

  Eventually, Nev made it to where the family lived only to find out piece by piece, the story did not add up at all. When Nev met Abby, Nev asked if she painted and she said "no, but my mom does" and showed Nev a painted which he thought Abby made. He later found out that it was not Megan on the phone talking to with him or on face book, it was the mother who's name was not even Megan. Megan was some model what the mother found and made it look like Nev was actually talking to her. the two brothers were not even what was described on face book. both were handicapped. Abby's mother did however paint/draw. Nev returned home knowing that all he went through was Abby's mother trying to be someone else. 

Do not always trust who is on the other line on social media. play your cards right do not just say you're all in and get lucky. do research!
