New Beginnings
When you watch the film White Bear it is in its entirety a film on a new beginning. It is the beginning of the girls day over and over again and each time she is tortured by being forced to run around over and over again not knowing what is going on, thinking that she has lost her immediate family to in the end find out what she had perceived to be her family ended up being a child she supposedly recorded her boyfriend murdering causing her whole world that she had created in that one day to come crashing down around her and then she is mentally tortured not even know how it is possibly she would aid in killing a little girl because she has had her entire memory repeatedly wiped of the event and her life and can hardly be considered responsible for the killing of this girl except under the pretense of false justice because other people just want to see her suffer even though she does not even understand why she is suffering anymore. The fact that in the society of White Bear it is ok to make a person live through this torturous environment over and over again and have your life played repeatedly like a fiddle for the supposed amusement of others under the pretense that you helped commit a murder of a child that you cannot even remember is completely unjust because you should not be able to be held responsible for one an act you did not truly commit yourself because you were coerced into helping out and it is also unfair to keep torturing someone over and over again when you are completely erasing their memory of the events that you put them through and even erasing the events that are the cause of the torture you are putting them through on a daily basis. Therefore the new beginning that this person is going through everyday is unjust torture because she is no longer responsible for what she helped do to the girl because she can no longer even admit to the deed because she cannot even remember it anymore and because of that society should not be able to wring here entire existence with this torture because she deserves a new beginning in the real world because she is no longer a bad person anymore and the torture can no longer be justified.

The way that David talked about the new beginning that the woman had her memory erased, was an easy analogy to understand however there were points of the analogy that I was not able to fully understand because of the way that she was tortured wasn't really a new beginning, it was a repetitious and vicious cycle. If only she would have admitted to the deed and had tried to make up for what she had done then that would've been considered a new beginning. Consequently, I think that if the woman was to go through a beginning and a new one at that, there would be a way to understand what she went through and how to avoid the oppressions or, to not even play them over and over again. The pressure and the pain that she went through had been something other than depressing, it had been more like not sure what to make of it. Which was not surprising given the circumstances of the situation and even the dynamics of the situation. On the other hand, if it wasn't for the videotapes and the recordings, she would not have undergone extreme torture that she had to face but because of people wanting to be amused she had to experience this over and over again rather than only doing it once.
