Crossing Borders Closing Gaps, Crossing Bridges Closing Gaps, Building Bridges Crossing Gaps, etc.

Crossing Borders Closing Gaps is a very unique idea for a social problem which shows its individuality in its four step plan. This social issue is one that I am thoroughly interested in since I am on the path of being a future educator, Education is important in my life and I am happy this idea was brought up to help those who cannot afford to receive an education. Through Crossing Borders Closing Gaps, the app and tablet are great sources for education to those who do not have a source of education readily available. The fact that these children have ready access to information from kindergarten through twelfth grade will help their ways of live to further educate themselves. I also enjoy the concept of teaching students concepts they cannot learn in school. Sometimes, even those who have an education still cannot perform daily tasks because of the schools following a standardized curriculum. I still have no idea how to balance a checkbook, but this will allow others to learn how to do these tasks no one else might not know how to do.
One concept I thought of while viewing this project is a way to help appeal to kids. My idea for this product is that the app or tablet can contain games that follow these lesson plans. This will help keep these kids more engaged in what they are learning while still being able to put these lessons into practice. We can use a math game for example, Let's say a kid learned basic rules of addition and subtraction. A game could be implemented in the tablet or app that lets them be in charge of a register of a store. The kids would collect payments from people and learn how to make change as well as add up the money in the register and subtract from their total when giving change. This game would be entertaining for kids to play and will also help them with the concept they have learned in their math subject. Having kids enjoy learning helps greatly in their education. If kids are having fun while they are learning, they will want to keep learning more and more as they grow.
