Actions towards Audite

Audite is an incredible step in the world of technology. It is similar to a Bluetooth headset, except there is one major difference.
A difference that can change how the whole world looks at linguistics. The Audite can translate others speaking into your given language. As someone speaks to you in another language, the speaker in your ear translates it to your native tongue. It can be very hard to function when you cannot understand what people are saying and no one can understand you. There is no way to ask for help or get necessities.
This piece of technology plans on tearing down these language barriers. This device is hooked up to an app on a phone. On the app, you can change what language it is listening for and what language you want it to be translated to. There is also a section where you can see the news of the device so you can keep up with the updates.
There a few criticisms I had with this device though. Is it merely possible? Computers have a very hard time with languages. Let us take Google Translate for instance. When you translate a sentence or so, it does not sound fluent like an actual person would speak. It is choppy or the translations are simply not correct. Another criticism I have is how would one talk back? There is said to be a speaker to translate what you say back to the other person, but how does Audite know what language to listen to? Maybe, there can be a setting for the speaker and for yourself. This would make it easier to have an actual conversation. Then again, is this actually possible. Finally, I would be afraid that with this technology, no one would learn languages. People would depend solely on their device to translate.

This invention is incredible and I think it could change the world. It could make traveling so much easier, and not to mention immigration. I can only imagine how difficult it is to move to a country where hardly any one speaks your language and everyone expects you to conform to their ways. Luckily, I was born in a country where I speak the predominate language, but language is spreading and pretty soon we will have to study linguistics more. This device could be a major to help. I will happily buy this device when it is released to the market.

I thought this was a cool project but I felt that is had some limitations, I also felt like this was something that was already on the market. But I do applaud them for their website and having an app that we could actually download.
