Why I have a Distaste in School

The group project "Tooters" made by Brianna, David, John, and Victor made an app where anyone could earn some extra cash by becoming a tutor for children. This was a great concept because it is an opportunity for two audiences: The tutors to make money and children who may need help in school subjects. It is very easy to use the app all you have to do if your are interested in being a tutor you sign up and do a application (just as any job would) then you'll have the job if qualified in no time to help students. In other hands if you are a student in need of a tutor you can look onto the app to see where the nearest one is for you and the app will make a meeting spot for you two to have a session. This was the basic run down of what the app is for now why it was created is even more terrific.

Their main focus was to help improve how children learn nowadays. I say that as in for example me I have been in the new way of learning experience as long as I have been in school and still to my current 11th grade year. I have been taught from my teachers learning what is going to be on "the test". I say the test as being very broad coming from standardized testing such as Common Core, CFAs, ACT, SAT, EOCs etc. In these times the teachers (even have said it themselves) are just preparing you to make the score that you have to get in order to prove how you  learn or what you haven't. In other words if you don't make the average score or what they think you need to make your dumb and don't know what your doing. Also if your normally smart or get good grades then after you fail once its because you don't "apply yourselves".

This is so inaccurate in my opinion. You can't accurately measure a student's intelligence by the number on a test for numerous reasons. First the student may make careless mistakes on the test, second their teacher may have not taught them everything they needed to know for that test, also their teacher may not care at all for certain students ... and the list goes on and on. This app provides students with real people who care for the education that children revive and want to help them enjoy  learning and school. They want kids to have a positive experience with school and not just learn for the score but to learn out of "curiosity and critical thinking and improvisational skills". This is why I would've loved to have had this app before I  started learning the new way of education.
