Obesity is one of the biggest issues that America struggles with
and this continues to grow as fast food restaurants continue to grow. Fast food
is convenient, cheap, and fast and that is why people love it so much. If
people have a problem with eating, I think that it will take more than just a
calorie counter to help them get over their problem.
I do think the
Calnter is a good idea, but I think that if it focused on more than just
calories it would be even better. I rarely eat at fast food restaurants, but
when I do I still do not like to get the unhealthiest options. Of course,
nothing is really healthy at fast food places because the ingredients usually
are not natural but I try to choose the least unhealthy option.
It is typically a
struggle for people to eat healthy because healthy food is more expensive
which one another huge problem that not only America has but the whole world.
This is why people tend to eat at fast food places rather than other places
that offer healthier options.
I do like the idea of the finger print and I think that people
could register at the counter and just give their name, email, and phone
number, anything you typically need for an account for anything. I also think
that it would be smart to create a calorie card… this could be used when you
are in a hurry and on the card, it could hook up to an account that you have
created prior to using it, and it would let you know everything you have eaten
that day and possibly recommend healthier options. It would be very convenient for
anyone and everyone and could help to increase the knowledge people need to
live a healthier lifestyle.
I eat pretty healthy consistently and I know when I am eating
unhealthy. People who are healthy eaters like I am will probably not use this item
because it is very inconvenient in their lifestyle. They may eat out once or
twice a week maybe. But people who eat out all the time will probably want to
use this but it also may be inconvenient for them too. They are hungry and want
their food and if they really want help with their eating habits, they will go
to a dietician or someone of that sort. But I love the idea of getting the word
out and helping people to realize that calorie intake is important.
