Help 901 Review

Today, I am reviewing the Help Memphis app. First, I think the city of Memphis really needs and phone app like Help Memphis. This app provides helpful information during potentially scary situations. They provide phone numbers, addresses, and websites for the homeless of Memphis and also counselors/therapists. They also included specific locations for homeless shelters and free health are centers which was specifically pointed out to help STD related problems. Additionally, this app stresses the numerous help lines that are given. You can call these 24 hour hotlines when you need assistance or if you feel like you are in a harmful situation. Many of the outlines given are directed to the Memphis Crisis Center which are specialized in dealing with those specific troubles. They also provided hotlines specifically to help situations, such as rape, incest, domestic abuse, child abuse, mental illness, suicidal situations. This app also listed a non-emergency police line that could be called in cases of scary situation which are not necessarily an emergency, which I thought was very helpful. Additionally, the app includes informational numbers and locations where one can receive legal help and advice if they may be facing a court date or potential jail time.
I think the app should have included numbers and locations to food banks and information on where to donate food and clothing, etc. Overall, I thought this app would be really beneficial to all the citizens living in or near the Memphis area. Great job!!
