I've heard of catfishing before watching the movie Catfish and I myself have been a personal victim of it. I personally think catfishing is wrong and should never be done to anyone. It's lying and deceitful, because you are representing to be someone that you obviously are not. Imagine meeting the "perfect" person just to find out that they are not who they say to be absolutely heartbreaking. (Although you should always kind of doubt if you do meet the "perfect" person online) Like I said myself am a victim of catfishing, someone out there in this world has made a fake tinder account with all my information and even pictures of me. I have no idea how long this has been going on for but for almost a year I've had people come to me and say we matched on tinder or that they swiped right, when I myself have never created any online dating profiles. (So naturally I feel bad for all those people getting scammed with my fake profile) Lying about who you are online is just as bad as lying to someone face to face, because we currently as of this year 81 percent of U.S. Americans have social media that's a huge number of people using social media so lying on social media/internet is still lying and it's wrong. And although I know it is wrong to Catfish people I still feel pity for those people out there who are catfishing others there has got to be something physiologically wrong going on in their lives for them to feel like they aren't good enough to be themselves on social media, or they just have to be bored (which happens in a lot of cases) or sometimes even pedophilish to pretend to be someone they aren't in order to make someone fall for them. So although it's wrong and lying and deceiving I feel like those people need help and so I also pity them greatly.

I like how you added memes. They were funny. I also agree with you, it is wrong to lie to people that way. It is sad to think people have enough free time to make up a face account with someone else's image. Why do you think people do catfish?
I think you are right, it is scary and sad how people have nothing else to do than create fake lives. How much time did Angela spend just to make up this circle of friends with all the details of their lives?
I think what is really sad about Angela is maybe she feels she is not good enough. She creates a beautiful and interesting life to make believe or cover up the fact she is not happy with her current lifestyle.
Your point about being skeptical when you seem to find the "perfect" person online is particularly important because a healthy amount of skepticism can help keep an individual from being catfished. Also, the meme involving reasons why a person online can't let you see his or her face feeds into the point of needing to be more skeptical when these red flags appear instead of being gullible in order to protect yourself.
I think Angela is wrong for cat fishing Nev. But Angela had reasons for doing what she did and those reasons are her insecurities and her not being happy with her life. I just wished that instead of catfishing nev she found security within herself.
