Did He Really Come Right Back?

The title of the short was film was called be right back. In the film the character "Ash" dies. After his death his mourning wife engages in an artificial intelligence program that tries to replicate Ash. The program starts first with the just his voice and personality and then evolves into an actual physical representation of Ash. and that begs the question. Did Ash really come right back ,even after death.
I think that his wife actually somewhat believed that he had come back. One thing that led  me to believe this was when she dropped the phone and it broke. She cried just as if he had died again. Once she had gotten the physical form she believed less that Ash had really returned at first it was okay but over time they she recognized that Ash had not really come back. The ash that had been delivered to her door was merely a social media representation and not a full replica of her husband. I do have to say though that it is remarkable and slightly strange that U felt as if this could actually be a possibility in the near future. To create a physical representation off of somebody based on their social media, and the things they put on the web.Now let's discuss whether or not the wife handled the situation correctly. I believe that the wife did not handle the situation correctly. She tried to hold on to her husband unwilling to let him go. I do however understand that she was pregnant and wanted her child to know her father. But, in doing this she has done the exact opposite, while nobody could have predicted this outcome, she still has defeated one of her main purposes. By creating this physical replica she forced herself to realize that it wasn't really her husband and she grew distant from it. Eventually it ended up in the attic where the memories of all the other dead family members go. As a result the child still does not know her father she only knows him as Ash. Another reason i feel that she made the wrong choice was because she prolonged her suffering. First she prolonged it by the audio replica, unwilling to let go denying the fact that everyone must die, and that death is inevitable. As a result she had to go through more grief when she realized the replica wasn’t enough. Then and only then did she finally deal with the fact that he was dead.

That is an interesting question. I don't think that Ash "came right back". If that was the case then he would have risen from his coffin or wherever they store their dead in the future. It would not count as Ash1 because Ash 2 did not have: his memories, all of his thought (essentially his brain) , or his same body, or even his essence. According to any definition of what a human person is, Ash 2 doesn't fit any of them. Ash 2 is just an imitation of Ash 1.
