It is crazy to see how much our technology has and is advancing and even the thought of having a human looking robots everywhere is a little appalling to me, but the more I think about the world that I live in the more eye opening it is to see that we human are becoming more like robots ourselves.
We are constantly told what to wear what not wear, how to act how not to act, what to say in certain situations and what not to say, and even how to respond to certain things that might come up in our lives. Everyday the media has something new to "teach" us and we eat it up like a 3year old eats candy. Everything from fashion trends to owning the latest technology to even home decor styles. We human have drastically lost our originality and creativity over the years because all we do is mimic what is there for us to copy. So over time are we even acting like ourselves or acting like what society as already "programmed" us to be like? Not to mention how caught up we get into our technologies so much so that we become unresponsive to the world around us. We text and drive and text and walk check social media while we work out, and we are even on we on our phones even at the dinner or tables. we stop socializing and even making eye contact with others while we talk to them and half of the time if we are on our phones we aren't even listening to what the say so we respond in very meaningless ways kind of like robots. I cannot say for sure if we are becoming more like robots, but from these simple observations we are basically being programmed like robots and turning unresponsive to our surrounding and more and more we are responding emotionless towards other people so it could be said that we are turning into robots.

I agree with what you said about how we are getting more and more programmed. Social media has taken over our daily lifes and we do not communicate the way we used to. That way we become emotionless and deaf.
This is so relatable, Paula. I find myself doing tons of the things you stated up there. Checking social media at pointless times, not giving people my full attention, and even compelling myself to follow social norms and wear what others are wearing. Creativity is being lost, I agree with that, but maybe by everyone doing the same thing, then branching out in their own way, couldn't that be our creativity?
Just a thought...
Paula, I thought your picture was hilarious. I also agree that we, as a society, are turning into robots.
I definitely loved your post Paula, and another example of "leaching" is this new innovation in social media called stories. They make us feel as if we need to share to the world what we are doing every second of every day.
