Is justice really served?

The short film White Bear had a very disturbing content behind it. In the beginning I thought that she was a victim because nobody was helping her, everyone was just watching and recording. At some point I thought that they were trying to describe to what is going on in society. Whenever she had flashbacks and she would tell the little girl to hide like daddy had showed her, made me question why they were doing that in the first place. Overall I think this episode was very confusing in the beginning because I had no idea on what was going on.

When they finally revealed what they were doing, I was astonished. They were punishing her for videotaping the murder of the little girl. When I realized what she had done, I felt betrayed in a way because in the beginning of the short film I felt bad for her. Then again I didn’t know everything she had done. I do think she deserved what they were doing to her, but to some extent I thought it was too much. Also, the people who were in charge putting this whole show together making a profit for it just seemed wrong to me. Why would people want to go see someone suffer? Not just that, but actually pay for it...Were they actually getting justice for what she had done? I think in a way they were getting justice because they were making her suffer in way and that is what they wanted. Although, everything she did was wrong and unacceptable…towards the end of the film I still felt bad for her.
