Defrosting Defrost

The Defrost group was very professional and well read presenting their unique and beneficial app. The information in the presentation was very organized and informative. The facts were astonishing and made many people see another major issue that needs to be fixed in today's society.They provided the class with new information and statistics about immigration and deportation. I believe they made many realize how immigration truly affects so many students on the CBU. The personal stories were truly impactful and showed how the app they created would ameliorate so many lives of people we know and love.The name of the app was very clever, defrost ICE and the misconceptions of immigration. The only thing I would recommend for the app would be something for the American audience. Maybe a section on explaining the deportation issue, how Trump being in presidency may affect their everyday lives etc. and how we, concerned citizens, can help. The app is a little advance for many and I would like for it to be broken down a little more for people who may need a little more rudimentary steps and help. Also, a place for people to post their testimonies anonymously would be interesting and an appeal to ethos. Therefore, people can actually see what other people are going through and feel.All in all, this was my favorite presentation so far and believe that it can be truly impact our society. It is so sad that politics are tearing families apart. I believe that if I lived in a country which I did not believe my family could thrive and survive, I too would do anything to move my family to a place where they could;even if it means that it would be illegal. In the end, I believe us, Americans, take so much for granted especially our citizenship in a country like ours. Not everyone gets to have freedom, liberty, and the right to pursue happiness. Therefore, I believe this app would change alot of lives and make the application processes easier for many.
