White Bear Society

In this episode of  Black Mirror, we are introduced to a women named Victoria. She wakes up very confused, not knowing anything about her life, and goes looking around the house for answers. She stops when she approaches a picture of a little girl who she believes may be her daughter. She decides to go outside to find other people in her neighborhood. She sees a little girl record her and run off so she decides to follow her. She spots a creepy masked man getting out of his car pulling out a rifle from his trunk. She starts to run when he points it at her and she notices everyone in town is recording her despite helping. She finally runs to a gas station where she meets two people who offer to help her. One was shot and killed and the other rushed Victoria to safety. She explains to Victoria what has happened to society. Apparently a technological program named "White Bear" was launched that caused everyone to be mind controlled by a certain symbol. She was also told that some people took it upon themselves to eliminate the ones that weren't under the system.

A man in a van rescues Victoria and her friend when the evil people discover their location. While on this to safety, Victoria has flashbacks of her so-called "daughter" and a man whose identity is unknown. Thinking they are headed to safety, they were headed to their deaths in the woods. They managed to escape and were now on a mission to shut down the program. They got close to shutting it down until they were ambushed. Suddenly huge metal doors began to open and the sound of an audience clapping was heard. Victoria was strapped to a chair and finally learned what was happening to her. She and her now deceased boyfriend kidnapped a little girl and tortured her to death. While her boyfriend was torturing the little girl, Victoria just stood around recording the whole thing. She realized that same punishment was being done to her every single day. They would erase her memories and pretend like nothing had happened. Now the question is, is this justice? I believe that this may be harsh but it could have been worse. It gives her multiple chances at life outside of prison but also giving her a fair punishment that she deserves.
