Pawtential Match Review
The presentation of the Pawtential Match organization was very well organized. They presented the product and app as a solution to a societal problem. The dogs can be used as stress relievers and can also help people with other disorders such as autism. One of the few problems that I saw with their presentation was that there was no screening process for the person providing the dogs or the person receiving their presence. The problem with this is that it can be unsafe for both sides of the equation. There should be some type of background check and interview that is done before the people can offer their dogs for the organization. One more problem would be the liability of one of the dogs biting a customer. Pawtential Match should have some type of insurance policy put in place to cover these things but it would be hard to do because they are a non-profit organization. They could ask their clients to sign waiver before they are allowed to meet with the dogs and this would help with this problem. Other than those two problems, there were not many other issues with their organization. I really liked that they were a non-profit and they wanted to just help people that would need these dogs in their life but were not able to buy one. I think there should also be an link on their website that people could use to find a place to buy a certain dog that they liked. People may meet with a certain type of dog and fall in love with it and want to buy one. Pawtential Match could also use this link to make profit in the future if they wanted to. However, it seemed as though they would always want to be a non-profit. I did not see in their presentation a place where it showed which dogs were unavailable for a certain time or day. But, I could have missed that part of their presentation. All together, this project was very well though out, organized, and presented. There is nothing that I can think of that they screwed up on or just completely forgot altogether. Their app seemed really easy to use also. It was simple but also very inviting and well though out. I really liked the way you could "paw" a dog and that is a way to "like" them. It was a very good project.
