The original film "Catfish" really opened my eyes to how deceiving the internet can be. In this film, the viewers are taken through a strange and deceitful story of a family that the main character, Nev, met through Facebook. This "family" consisted of Abby, Megan, the mother, and a brother that seemed to not like Nev. The relationship with the family started when "Abby" painted one of his pictures taken of two dancers at sunset. This relationship then led to Nev meeting someone he though was her sister, Megan. For a while, none of this online relationship seemed out of the norm, because he talked on the phone with who he thought was Angela, Abby, and Megan.
Things started falling apart when Nev found some odd things in their behavior on Facebook, and lies they told about their life. He then drove to Michigan and surprise he was told they would be at. After meeting Angela, he quickly found out that the past nine months of his life has been a lie. It turned out that Angela was working all three of the accounts that she talked to Nev on. Her intentions were not to hurt, but to just feel less lonely.
I personally feel that Nev handled the situation in a very professional and calm manner. Considering how much damage that situation put on his life, he did not want to hurt Angela, he just wanted answers. This film led to the creation of a MTV series called Catfish. This series has helped many people determine fraudulent friends and partners on social media networks.

I agree with your conclusions about how Nev handled the situation. Would you have handled the situation differently, or would you feel bad for Angela and continue to be civil with her after the fact? It would have been very hard for me to handle that the same way that Nev did, as I would be very upset that I was betrayed.
I agree that Nev handled that situation very well. Most people would have acted a completely different way, so that showed how mature he really is.
I agree that Nev handled the situation pretty well. I admired how he didn't have an angry approach. He calmly asked his questions and got the answers without showing just how angry he is.
