My Robot Husband
Be Right Back is about a young couple that are supposedly in love. The husband, Ash, goes on a business trip and never returns. After a couple days the wife, Martha, gets worried and eventually finds out that Ash died from an unknown reason. Soon after that someone tells her that she can talk to Ash again. She wants to do this just one time to tell him she is pregnant, but once she does she can not stop. Of course she does what anybody else would do, she starts talking to him online. It had to be a little weird knowing that he is not the real Ash even though he is made to be. He was made using all of the real Ash's social media. One fault in doing that is his social media could be different than his personality, which it is. After talking online she starts talking to him on the phone until she breaks it. She is when she goes over board. She buys a robot that looks just like Ash and the robot she has been talking to is in its body. The robot looked like Ash but was more interactive than the real Ash. The real Ash stayed on his phone all day and the robot basically revolved around Martha. Which of course Martha loved, who wouldn't. Soon though she comes to realize that it is not the real Ash and becomes tired with it. I wouldn't say what she did was a bad thing. I probably would have done the same thing if someone I loved passed away, but she went to far with it. Talking to him online and on the phone should be the only way you could talk to a loved one if this was real. Once she bought the humanoid it just got weird. The whole sex scene was just awkward. A real human can not turn off his sexual arousal at any given time. I believe that was one of the main reasons she got tired of it. Another big reason that she should not have bought the robot is her daughter. Her daughter was young and got really attached to the robot. Young children are easily susceptible to anything. Now the little girl thinks that all humans should act like fake Ash. That was the worst side effect of bringing back Ash I believe. That girl is never going to be right again especially when she learns that he can not age or die or when Martha gets rid of it.

I agree with your view on the point in which the clone was made and the negative impact of it. In a way social media has created clones of people that act differently on the web than talking to them face to face. I am not a fan of change, but if a significant person in my life passes away I don't want to have a clone of them to use at my leisure, would probably make me even more depressed that he or she is gone.
I have to agree that I would want to communicate with a deceased love one. However, making a clone of them wouldn't make it better because I would know it isn't the same. Although there would be similarities, I don't think it would be the exact same. It's like having a twin. Although somethings would be the same, there are specific qualities that make people unique.
