After I left to go to college, I sort of left my parents on their own. I knew it was going to be hard for them to be left alone after I would embark on a new journey. Everything would be hard for them as they go out to the store, the doctors office, or the fear to be confronted in some situation that they would not know how to respond. My parents are citizens of America and have lived here for more than 22 years, they know some English but it is still not enough to have a full conversation. After this team presented, I can %100 support this idea, especially for those that have language barriers such as my parents.
I still remember freshman year, my parents calling me for every single thing on how to say certain words, to make phone calls, to pay certain bills. I think this device can easily eliminate many of these problems. I was also very proud Clark and how he articulated the security of the device. Clark is a Cyber Security major and works with his Dad on this matter as well, so he knows how important protecting information can be. The idea of having to use this device in confidential meetings and protecting the device from being breached is so important to today's society. Overall this project was well done and thoughtful to a major social problem.
