Reel in Support Feeback
Reel in Support is a great idea. There are many social platforms geared towards people sharing their life, but all of them seem to be for leisure. Reel in Support is a convenient way for people to seek help and develop a support group digitally while staying anonymous. I believe everyone has problems that they can share with others and the encouraging words of others will help them. One worry of this platform is the psychological counseling and briefness. There may be pychologist that attempt to give guidance to situations that they are not experienced in. In addition, there may not be enough psychologist for millions of people and if a large group of people follow one psychological stand point, many people will get the results in their real life without accountability of the advisor. How can the counsellors mentor so many people individually with different problems. In this case, I like the emphasis on support because bringing psychological guidance may be a tedious and tricky thing. A pychologist doesn't understand every form of life and the etiquettes of every culture. This may lead to biased advice or limited advice. I believe for this idea to work , everyone on the social site will have to do their part as far as encouraging and saying nice and kind words. People are not normally good with accessing other people's peoblems properly because everyone lives a different life and words and situations have a different connotation for different people. I believe other people's problems will be too much for people with problems to handle or help with. Also, too many people with problems , may be too much for pychologist to help with. I imagine that pychologist have their own problems that they don't know how to handle. Overall, everyone needs support, but mostly people need the right kind of support and the comfort from associates or digital friends may not be significant enough for real life. I believe people will embrace their digital life more when they find that it is a more welcoming place for them.
