I am reviewing the PAWtential Match final group project because I love dogs and I really enjoyed seeing this presentation. I thought that this was a very clever product. It turned a simple concept into a practical and technological product that can be so helpful to so many people. I liked their concept of reaching out to all different types of people, including people with disabilities, people with emotional or social issues, or even if you are just feeling sad one day and want a furry friend to play with. I thought that their website and app looking very professional, however, the paws on their app were a little difficult to see as they blended in with the background image. Also, as we talked about in class, it would be beneficial to add a background check aspect for people who are volunteering their dogs to others. This addition would make this business seem even more professional and reliable because it would insure that the people you are meeting up with and the dogs you are meeting up with are safe and legitimate. It would also be beneficial to add the AKC certifications for each dog on the website to ensure that the dogs are healthy and have all of their required shots.
I was a little unclear about the appointment process because I didn't understand the locations of each dog. Do you pick the location or the owner? Or is the location chosen through the business leaders? A good feature to add would be location services that connects your app to other users nearby and lets you have quick pop-up visits with dogs nearby in parks or other locations. I think that it would also be cool to add another section to the business that allows the volunteer dogs to have play dates with fellow volunteer dogs as well. You could also add a blogging aspect to your website so your clients and follower could get insight on the dogs and how the business is going. The business could blog and then the clients could blog about the dogs they played with or blog and share photos. This might be a way of connecting with this community-based business even more.
Overall I thought that you project was well communicated and presented and i thoroughly enjoyed the presentation. My love for dogs kept me interested and the fact that this business would help so many of those who are sad or hurting really solidified this idea for me.
