In the movie Catfish there is a deep moral issue involved. In the beginning of the film there is a young man,Nev, that seems to have a relationship with a family.He encounters this family by the artwork of a little girl, Abby, that he ended up loving and he stayed in contact with the whole family. He falls in love with a girl by which he calls Megan, the relationship that they had was deep, from talking to him night by night to sexting,they dedicated songs to artwork for each other, But never seeing each other. That must have meant something. But he found out that all of that was a lie. Songs that she made for him were not hers to give, there was no Megan just a fragment of her in a person that lied. To this young men it was devastating.

Many argue that This person did what she did because she had two kids that were handicapped and a husband that did not get her. She created a small little world that did not exist. but I think she just wanted someone to admired one thing she did. The way she meet the young man was through her artwork posed as Abby's work. For a young girl it was an excellent but for a adult it was OK. It was a called for attention but the mess up thing was the made up family. The made up Megan that end up having a relationship with this guy. 

Everyone at some point has showed only a side of themselves. when in public is easier to smile than cry. They do it in interviews and other occasions. there is a limit to this, at some point you get to know a person even through that smile.  one of the reasons for this is the fact that a person would want to protect them selves by not being vulnerable, getting money or simply evading problems,etc. Making a whole other person is different because she lied about the songs, she lied about where she lived, Megan was just a fairy tale. Everything about her was a lie and since the guy did not know it was a betrayed. The internet has made recreating someone to a whole other level and sometimes not for the good. Some people like Nev can get hurt and betrayed.Now day that why people get scammed and is easier to get cyber bulling because that person while managed by a real one is a figment of the imagination.they are free to lie, steal, and offend with out repercussions.
