Valuing life knowing it is irreplacable
Having the ability to have a loved one back sounds like a great idea, from my personal experience I could not imagine that before. After watching "Be Right Back" in philosophy class I deeply thought about the idea. It is amazing to see how much technology has improved and will continue improving within the years. Without even realizing it we will find our selves talking to robots that are a similar replication of a lost loved one soon. Which seems like a crazy idea, but not significantly different as what we do now by talking to Siri through the iphone or any apple device. If one was able to connect with a lost loved one using the ideal of "Be Right Back" would we really value the life of the loved one when he/she is still alive. From my perspective the reason why we value their life is because we know that as human beings we are meant to born, live, then die. We know that if we are talking to someone we tend to not end in bad terms because we do not know weather we will see them again. An opponent would argue, if you end in bad terms with someone having the ability to talk to them again after they die would help the living person express themselves to the replication of their deceased loved one. Which sounds like a good idea, but why not value their life while they are still alive. Instead of not valuing their life and not taking advantage of each day that we get to spend with them because we know that one day we will not have that loved one with us. If we were able to connect with them after their death, we would take for granted each day we actually had the ability to talk or spend time with that loved one. The reason why I say we would take for granted their presence and the ability to talk to them is because we as humans tend to focus in our goals especially when one is in college that we forget about those around us. In addition to the fact that, we miss someone more onto the day that the person is not there anymore. Although many would disagree, what would be the point to express our emotions and constantly have connection with a robot that is said to be the replication of our loved one if when our loved one was still alive we did not give them time or expressed our emotions to them. Even if it is said that the robot is a replication of that individual, it is based on the stuff they reveal about themselves in social media which most times it is not their true selves. Through the ideal of "Be Right Back" one would take for granted the ability to spend time with someone who is alive knowing that when that person is dead they can just get replaced by a robot who will be based not on the actual identity of the person but on the identity that person portrayed in social media. A life is a beautiful thing because in addition to different attributes every one is unique in their certain way. It is better to value individuals when they are alive knowing that their will never be someone identical to them.

I agree that life is valuable because we are born and have the choice to live life as we choose, knowing that one day we will die. I also agree that we should do our best to value others, despite being so caught up in our own goals in life. Every person has something unique to offer to the world. You are right in saying that there will never be another person who is exactly like any other person living today or that has lived in the past. Social medial can sometimes make things seem different from what they actually are. For this reason, we should take the time to treasure the originality of each person.
While I do believe that you would potentially want a robot of a lost loved one precisely because you valued said person, I do side with you in that the ability to have a robot replacement for a person would make it easier to take the person for granted. However, you might not realize that you took the human being for granted until you only have a robot of the lost individual to fill the void. At this point, it would be easy to find noticeable as well as minute ways in which the robot is not the same as the human version was, and the realization that you took the person for granted would then set in.
