In the film the "White Bear" , a women was being tortured for murdering a little girl. Victoria the suspect who kidnapped tortured and filmed a murder of an innocent child, punishment was the same as the things she did to the little girl and it happened over and over. I feel that it is hypocritical to do it over and over because they are against what happened but doing the same thing to this woman everyday. I believe them doing it one day then putting her in jail would be enough punishment, because at the end of the punishment she felt a lot of pain and wanted to give up on life. not saying that it is right for her to kidnap a child but when is the punishment enough. To treat a mentally unstable person like that over and over just don't sit right with me. I feel the justice system in the white bear should have came to a better conclusion about having cruelty as a punishment.
The town people who was involved of the punishment of Victoria , is just as bad as she is . They watched her go through the punishment everyday , instead of stopping the man after the first time. I know they are trying to teach her a lesson but to keep erasing her memory is an unnecessary punishment to continue. For the justice system to have this event go on everyday and not solving the actual problem, they are actually indulging in the same activities as the criminals.
The on lookers should be punished to for wanting to be involved in the punishment as well. They all just recorded and laugh as they tortured Victoria everyday. For them to go alone with the situation continuously, shows that filming of violence and not stopping it will become a big issue in the future. People film fights and other beating without trying to stop the incident , and letting the people of the world know that a video is more important then our lives.
After watching the film. I was a little concerned about the justice system. I though about what if they do this for real in the future or are they already doing such cruel punishment? People are already against the death penalty and if they start torture as a punishment it is like the same thing because it is every lasting and can harm the person emotionally and physically. The film leaves you with many questions like , Do the justice system really care about human life?, When is your punishment enough? , What is the right thing to do?. A line should be drawn when it comes to using torture as a punishment.

It is funny how the call it a "justice system". We can obviously see that in is not in any way justice.
