The documentary "Catfish" is about this guy, Nev, who falls for this girl on Facebook. He had been communicating with a woman by the name of Angela because he was purchasing paintings from Angela's daughter, Abby. Or so he thought. As time passes, Nev, his brother, and their friend discover that the girl Nev was falling for had been lying. This caused Nev to be hesitant, but they persisted to find out the truth. They end up traveling to the family's house, and find out that Angela is behind all of it. Nev decides to talk with her and ask her why she has been living this lie. Angela claimed she gave up her dreams when she married her husband because all of her time went into taking care of his two special needs children. They discuss the whole situation and resolve the issue, and in the end they still remained friends through social media.
At the beginning, I had in my mind that Angela was a bad person for tricking Nev. I couldn't understand why someone would lie to someone else like that. In my mind, she was playing with his mind, it was like she didn't care. Even though I still disagree with what Angela had done to Nev, I began to feel sorry for her. I felt bad for her because she made this fake life so she could actually have her own piece of happiness. She made a choice to care for two children who desperately needed care and love. When she couldn't bare her everyday life anymore she created fake profiles to entertain herself with. When Angela used her oldest daughters fake account to start a relationship with Nev I don't think she intentionally wanted to hurt him. She just wanted a little bit of happiness, and then she became almost addicted to that happiness.
Although I don't agree with her choices in this situation, I also don't blame her for wanting to be happy. In life there's so many choices we have to make. She happened to make a choice that made her have to stop perusing her career for the sake of her step children. Later, she realized she wasn't happy and so she sought her own happiness.

I also don't agree with Angela's choices. Everyone deserves to be happy, but happiness isn't something you can create and manipulate. You can try, of course, but that is not true happiness. After all Angela went through to be happy, she was never truly happy. She went about the whole situation the wrong way.
