White Bear Gets Fair Punishment
White bear was a very interesting movie with a major plot twist in the end, that changes the viewer's emotions or at least should change it. In the beginning of the movie I felt as if the woman had woken up in some post apocalyptic world and, that the signs on her screens were the symbols of some “ New World Order.” In fact I thought at first that by the end of the movie she would some how be the hero of it all. When she stepped outside and saw everybody recording what her, I immediately thought of the way social media and technology have taken over this generation. Once the man got out of the car with the gun I again thought that she was a hero and the man with a gun was a villain. As she was being chased I began to lose sympathy for her because her hysteria was extremely excessive. It was almost like horrible acting. I lost all sympathy for her when she left the man that was helping her to die and when she cried about the fire extinguisher like there was another way for her to live. At the point something else caught my attention. The white girl stayed with the black girl as if she was meant to protect her. At that point again I thought she was a hero of the world. But then when she came out of hiding and cried throwing bricks at the people I knew she was just a victim and I kind of expected her to die. I had again no sympathy for her . I felt now that the white girl was setting her up, otherwise there is no reason to stay with her. When the man in the truck pulled up and rescued them I thought it was legitimate until the man pulled out a cellphone. The cellphones were supposed to be the cause of the somewhat robotic people that only watched. However he was unaffected. Then I knew he was also in on the setup. The final parts of the movie made everything make sense. The woman was not a victim like I had originally anticipated she was serving a sentence for a gruesome crime. The punishment I think was suitable for what she did. The watchers made sense because it is basically what she did to the little girl. I believe that it serves as a warning to anybody else that wants to commit the same crime.

The fact that the other woman always stayed with Victoria, even though Victoria was completely useless and actually a hindrance throughout, made me suspicious from the beginning. It may be cold of me, but I do not think I would have taken her and gone through all that trouble in a post apocalyptic world if she continued to act that way. I would have left her after getting her out of immediate danger, which I realize is somewhat hypocritical. I would not have been able to deal with the overwhelming helplessness, crying and whining, or the unwillingness to help unless she was actively threatened.
